Chairman Seymour called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Housing
Authority to order at 1:56 P.M.
MINUTES: On motion by Mrs. Kaywood, seconded by Mr. Roth, minutes of
the regular meeting of the Anaheim Housing Authority held August 29,
1978, were approved. MOTION CARRIED.
FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY in the amount
of $1,872.02, in accordance with the 1978-79 Budget, were approved.
177: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S REPORT - SEPTEMBER 30, 1978: On motion by
Mr. Kott, seconded by Mr. Roth, the Executive Director's Report of
Housing AuthoritY Department activities through September 30, 1978,
was ordered received and filed. MOTION CARRIED.
177.180: LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY VEHICLES:
The Executive Director reported on his recoLm, endation that separate
insurance be obtained for the four automobiles owned by the Housing
Authority from St. Paul Insurance Company in the amount of $2,046.
In answer to question by Mrs. Kaywood, Risk Manager Jack Love advised
that a quotation had been received from Continental General in the
amount of $2,940.
On motion by Mrs. Kaywood, seconded by Mr. Roth, payment of premium in
the amount of $2,046 for auto liability insurance for four vehicles owned
by the Housing Authority to St. Paul Insurance Company, was authorized.
MOTION CARRIED.
177.152: ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY OCCUPANCY POLICY CHANGES -
SECTION 8 PROGRAM CERTIFICATES: The Executive Director reported on
changes proposed for the Anaheim Housing Authority Occupancy Policy
by adding two items to the top of the list of preferences for issuance
of Certificates for the Section 8 Program, as follows:
(1)
Families who have been issued Certificates from another Public
Housing Authority (PHA), provided that there is a reciprocal
arrangement with the said PHA.

Families who are required to move or pay more than 25% of income
toward rent due to rehabilitation of unit or acquisition of
their property as a result of program administered by the
Neighborhood Preservation Section of Community Development
Department of the City of Anaheim be granted preference over
other categories.
Mr. Seymour was of the opinion that the two items should be in
reverse order, and moved that the proposed changes be approved with
the numbers reversed. Mr. Kott seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business before the Anaheim
Housing Authority, Mr. Kott moved to adjourn. Mr. Roth seconded the
motion. MOTION CARRIED.
