A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AMENDING AND RESTATING CERTAIN
FEES TO COVER THE COST OF PROCESSING TAXICAB
OPERATOR PERMITS
WHEREAS, the City adopted Ordinance No. 5627 repealing
Chapter 4.72 in its entirety and adopting a new Chapter 4.72 to
Title 4 of the Anaheim Municipal Code regulating taxicab
businesses in the City, which authorizes certain fees to cover
the City's cost of processing taxicab operator permits to be
established by resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council duly adopted Resolution No.
98R-31 establishing a schedule of fees in connection with Chapter
4.72 of Title 4 of the Anaheim Municipal Code relating to
regulation of taxicab businesses; and
WHEREAS, the City has adopted Ordinance No. 5651adding
new Section 4.72.145 to Chapter 4.72 of Title 4 of th~-Ahaheim
Municipal Code regulating taxicab businesses in the City, which
authorizes certain fees to cover the City's cost of providing
vehicle decals in connection with the granting of taxicab
operator permits to be established by resolution of the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend and restate
the schedule of fees in connection with Chapter 4.72 of Title 4
of the Anaheim Municipal Code relating to regulation of taxicab
businesses to include the City's cost of providing such vehicle
decals; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
established a policy to adopt all fees and charges to be
collected within the City of Anaheim by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the fees and charges set forth herein do not
exceed the actual cost to the City of providing the services to
which the fees and charges relate; and
WHEREAS, the City Council further finds and determines
that the establishment of fees is exempt from the provisions of
the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to Section
21080, (b)(8) of the California Public Resources Code; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has complied with the
applicable notice and hearing requirements pertaining to adopting
fees as set forth in the Government Code of the State of
California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the following fees for the application
process for a taxicab operator's permit be, and the same are
