TRACT NO. 5084: Continued from the meetings held June 23 and 30, 1964, to this
dated Request of Associates Funding~ In¢.~ for waiver of certain improvements
in Tract No~ 5084 was taken off agenda, pursuant to communication dated
July 20~ 1964, from M~, Harry Knisely, Attorney for the Applicants~ on motion
by Councilman Krein, seconded by Councilman Pebleyo MOTION CARRIED,
MICROFILMING PROCEDURES. i.. Mr. Burr Williams, of Orco Microfilming Service, Anaheim,
' a~dress"ed the City Council explaining in detail their business operation
and what services ca~ be rendered the Ci±y of Anaheim° Also discussed ~as
the comparable cost of establishing a City division for this purpose~ as
compared to contract services~
Goun¢ii discussion was held and questions o~ the Council were
answered by Mr. ~illiams and Miss Marge Lindamood. Miss Lindamood sub-
mitted a copy of a Record Management Program~ noting fhe steps which should
be taken prior to and during the microfilming procedure.
At the conclusion o~ the discussion, it was determined that a
date be arranged for the City Council to tour the Oreo Microfilming fa-
cility~
SIDEWALK WAIVER - 1500 SOUTH ANAHEIM BOULEVARD: Reques± of Buzza Cardozo for
waiver of sidewalks on the Cerritos Avenue frontage, property located at
1500 South Anaheim Boulevard~ was submitted.
On the recommendations o{ the City Engineer~ Councilman Krein
moved ~emporary waiver of sidewalk requirements be granted~ subject to
the provision that no permanent plantin9 or permanent type improvements
be permitted whithin the area reserved for future sidewalks. Councilman
Dutton seconded the motion° MOTION CARRIED.
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 512 - EXIEN$ION OF TIME (C.ONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
NO~ 587): Reques± of Anaheim Hotel Associates, Ltd°, dated June 29, 1964, for
180 day extension of time to Conditional Use Permit No. 512, for compliance
with certain conditions pursuant to Resolution No. 64R-69, was reviewed
by ~he City Council together with reports from the Planning Department and
City Engineer~
It ~as noted by the Council that Conditional Use Permit No. 587,
which was filed on subject property and approved by the City Planning
Commission July 87 196~ was scheduled on the City Council Agenda for
information and consideration July 28, 1964, together with the Planning
Commission's recommen0ation that Conditional Use Permit No. 512 be ±er-
minatedo
Mr~ Milton L~ Freeman, representing Anaheim Hotel Associates, Ltd.,
advised that Conditional Use Permit No~ 512 would be superseded by Conditiona
Use Permit No. 587, when finalized; however, should action on the latter be
delayed, they request that Conditional Use Permit No. 512 remain in effect,
pending finalization of the newer application~

DISCUSSION - DRAGSTRIP PROPOSAL~ STADIUM SITE: Discussion was held by the City
Manager and City Gouncil~ relative to the proposal received from the Dlsabled
American Veterans to use a portion of the stadium site for a "Dragstrip" or
other types of auto racing, and Mayor Chandler and Councilman Dutton reported
on their visit to the Long Beach track.
At the conclusion of the discussion, the Council requested arrange-
ments be made for them to visit the Long Beach facility and other tracks~
and that tests be made using appropriate sound equipment to determine the
radius of sound emanating from the Long Beach track~ and that similar com-
parative tests be made at Dodger Stadium°
RECESS; Councilman Krein moved to recess to 7:00 P.Mo Councilman Pebley seconded
the motion. MOTION CARRIED. (3:00 P.M.)

the southwest corner of Brookhurst Street and the Santa Aha Freeway; the
City Planning Commission pumsuant to Resolution No. 1216, Series 1963-64~
recommended reclassification from the R-A to the G-1 zone, subject to the
following conditions:
That ail engineering requirements of the City of Anaheim along Sequoia
Avenue and Brookhurst Street, such as curbs and gutters, street grading
and paving, drainage facilities~ or other appurtenant work shall be
completed as required by the City Engineer and in accordance with
standard plans and specifications to be prepared by the City of Anaheim.
Ibat the owners of subject property shall pay to the City of Anaheim the
sum of 15¢ per front foot along Brookhurst Street and Sequoia $treet~
for tree planting purposes°
3o That trash storage areas shall be provided in accordance with approved
