Tom Key addressed the Council reporting that the sign recently erected at 809 South Euclid Avenue for the Sesma Cleaners obstructed the view of his sign on 'the adjacent property. He presented pictures of the two signs. Mr. Kirby Hair, Applicant~ addressed the Council urging favorable con- sideration of the reclassification; reviewed the existing uses of land in the immediate area. Mro Ray Bends, 509 Knott Avenue~ favored the reclassification and felt that this would start develoDment in the area. Mrs. Hair pointed out that this reclassification would result in the much needed street widening and improvement, she explained that their plan was for an attractive business office, and in her opinion, would not be detrimental to /he community. Councilman Chandler moved that action by the City Council be deferred to November 8, 1960, and that a directive be sent to the City Planning Department to male a study of the entire area, and the entire street, west side of Knott Avenue from Lincoln Avenue to Orange Avenue.
