REQUEST: Waiver of the following to construct an 8-foot high concrete block wall adjacent
to residential zone boundaries along north and west property line:
Sections 18.12.080.015 - Maximum fence height.
and 18.61.068.020 6 feet permitted; 8 feet proposed adjacent to RS-7200 zoning along the
north and west property lines)
DETERMINATION OF THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR
Having been appointed Zoning Administrator by the Planning Director to decide the above-referenced
Administrative Adjustment, and subject petition having been duly noticed and no written objections
having been received, I do hereby find, pursuant to Section 18.12.080:
1. That the request is hereby granted in accordance with Subsection 18.12.080.015 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code which permits waiver of maximum fence height in connection with an
administrative adjustment;
2. That no written opposition was received during the required 10-day notification period which
ended on May 6, 1998; and
3. That a letter was received from residents concerned about the location and construction of the
proposed wall and how the new block wall would be connected to the existing wall
Based on the evidence presented to me, I do hereby determine to grant Administrative Adjustment No. 139,
subject to the following condition(s):
That the petitioner shall advise the owner of each residential lot adjoining subject property that
an eight (8) high foot block wall will be constructed along the north and west property lines of
subject property; and that the block wall will be constructed adjacent to the existing block wall
and "connected" to the existing block wall in a manner which precludes small animals or litter or
other objects from falling between the two (2) block walls. Proof of notification to each property
owner shat! be given to the Zoning Division and may consist of a letter and/or a drawing and/or
other communication describing the eight (8) foot block wall and the "connection" to the existing
block wall
2. That subject property shall be developed substantially in accordance with plans and
specifications submitted to the City of Anaheim by the petitioner and which plans are on file with
the Planning Department marked .Exhibit Nos. 1, 2 and 3, including the "connection" between the
proposed block wall and the existing block wall, as described in Condition No. 1, above.

3. That within a period of one (1) year from the date of this decision or prior to issuance of a permit
for the proposed eight (8) foot high block wall, whichever occurs first, Condition Nos. 1 and 2,
above-mentioned, shall be satisfied. Extensions for further time to complete this condition may
be granted in accordance with Section 18.03.090 of the Anaheim Municipal Code.
4. That approval of this application constitutes approval of the proposed request only to the extent
that it complies with the Anaheim Municipal Zoning Code and any other applicable City, State
and Federal regulations. Approval does not include any action or findings as to compliance or
approval of the request regarding any other applicable ordinance, regulation or requirement.
This decision is made, signed, and entered into the file this 14th day of May 1998.

NOTICE: This decision shall become final unless an appeal to the City Council, in writing, accompanied
by an appeal fee, is filed with the City Clerk within 15 days of the date of the signing of this decision or
unless members of the City Council shall request to review this decision within said 15 days.
