DECISION NO. ZA2001-x-18
A DECISION OF THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR
TERMINATING ALL PROCEEDINGS IN CONNECTION WITH
VARIANCE NO. 2000-04402
OWNER: Jerine Knox
226 South Glassell Street, Orange, CA 92866
AGENT: Malkoff and Associates
18456 Lincoln Circle, Villa Park, CA 92861
LOCATION: 1190 North Van Horne Way
MEETING DATE: May 31, 2001
REQUEST: The petitioner requests withdrawal and termination of Variance No. 2000-04402.
Having been appointed Zoning Administrator by the Planning Director, pursuant to Anaheim Municipal Code
Section 18.12.040, to decide the above-referenced request, I do hereby find:
1. That Decision No. ZA 2000-30 was adopted on August 17, 2000 to approve Variance No.
2000-04402 for waiver of the required screening of outdoor accessory equipment to permit 22-foot high
ground-mounted equipment for a wood working shop.
2. That the petitioner requests termination of this Variance because the business owner (Knox
Cabinets) will be moving to another facility and no longer needs the waiver.
3. That staff inspected the property on May 30, 2001, and the outdoor equipment has been
disconnected from the building and the electrical system has been disabled to prevent operation of the
motor; and that the venting system for the wood working equipment has been completely disconnected and
re-routed to a new interior dust collector system.
4. That the petitioner indicated that the unscreened outdoor equipment will be removed from
the property in the near future, at which time the property will be in compliance with applicable development
standards of the underlying zone (Development Area 1 "Industrial Area" of the Northeast Area Specific Plan
No. 94-1 ).
Based on the evidence and testimony presented to me, I do hereby determine to terminate Variance No.
2001-04402.
This decision is made, signed, and entered into the file this 7'h day of June, 2001.

Annika M. Santalahti, Zoning Administrator
