The City Council of the City of Anaheim met in Adjourned Regular Session.
PRESENT: COUNCILMENs Pearson~ Fry~ Schutte, Wisser~ and Van Wagoner.
ABSENTs COUNCI LMF~N: None.
CITY ATTORNEY~ PRESTON TURNE~: Present.
CITY ADMINIS/RATIVE OFFICER, i!KEITH A. N~DOCH: Present.
N~STER PLANNING: Discusston~was held by the City Council relative to the communi=
cation received from the Junior Chamber of Commerce regarding Plannings and it was
considered that a resolution:should be adopted thanking them for their interest in
the matter and notifying them that in line with their suggestion, the hirtng of a
recognized planning consultadt to work with the City Planning Commission has been
authorized. The Council fee~s that the services of the consultant will be of con-
siderable value to more quicEly solve the City's planning problems.
RESOLUTION NOo 3172: Councilman Van Wagoner offered Resolution No. 3172 and moved
for its passage and adoption.

On roll call the fQregoing resolution was duly passed and adopted by the

The Mayor declared the foregoing resolution duly passed and adopted.
BALL-DALE ANNEXATION: The City Attorney reported that he had examined the restrain-
ing orders issued in the action City of Anaheim vs. the City of Buena Park and had
determined that they were limited to the proceedings in the West Anaheim Annexation
No. 2 and the Stanton Avenue Annexation~ and did not restrain the City Council from
taking proceedings in other annexation matters. He further advised the City Council
that the decision to proceed or not to proceed was a matter of policy to be
termtned by th~m.
The City Council discussed the matter at length, and in conclusion, Council-
man $chutte moved that the request for annexation of inhabited territory designated
as Ball-Dale Annexation be referred to the City Planning Commission for report and
recommendation. Councilman Wlsser seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED.
On roll call the foregoing motion was carried by the following vote:
