agreed to file deed restrictions on prop~rty limiting the buildings to be constructed
to two story, said deed restrictions to be filed prior to the consideration or adoption
of the necessary Ordinance changing said fzone.

ST. ANTHONY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH: Mr. Bailey, 720 Buttonwood Street, addressed the
Council calling attention to a Petition previously filed asking that certain area
now within the City of Anaheim be rezoned to R-l. He stated the group he re-
presented requested the City PQanning Commission to make a Master Plan of the
area excluding the 8.6 acres owned by the Catholic Church. He further suggested
that the City Council request the placement of a row of houses between their
property which would act as a buffer strip. He also questioned the right to
build so many buildings on such a small area.

Mayor Pearson requested the Administrative Officert Keith A. Murcoch,
to contact the architect on the church project to see if arrangements could be
made satisfactory to all parties.
Mr. Bailey said the residents would favor an R-3 zoning there as long
as the dwellings were limited to one story.
VARIANCE NO. 548: Submitted by Hamaiag Garabedian, requesting permission to
convert a house located at 417 N. Palm Street into two professional offices.
The City Planning Commission, pursuant to their Resolution No. 203,
granted said variance, subject to the following conditions:
I. Using the office. for only doctors or dentists.
2. Maintaining the present building line set-back after the remodeling
of the front of the bUilding.
The City Council approved the granting of said variance, subject to
conditions as outlined by the City Planning Commission, and further, subject to
the furnishing of acceptable plans, on motion by Councilman Wisser, seconded by
Councilman Schutte. MOTION CARRIED.
VARIANCE NO. 556:. Submi tted by Prudential Homes, Inc., requesting pennission
to erect a 10 x 25 foot temporary sign at 1608 E. Center Street, advertising the
sale of houses and lots in Tract No. 1697.
The City Planning Commission, pursuant to their Resolution No. 206,
granted said variance, subject to the following conditions:
1. Signs shall be a maximum size of 10 by 25 feet.
2. Signs will be pexmitted for a maximum periOd of 6 months or less.
3. A penmit must be taken out with the Building Department.
