A petition of property owners residing on Webster Avenue protesting
the abandonment of said easement was submitted and reado Also a petition of

Solomon requesting R-3 zoning on prope~ty described as located on the West side
of Ninth Street approximately l337 feet south of Cerritos Avenue and consisting
of approximately 20 acres.

Public Hearing was continued !from the June 19, 1956 Meeting for the
working out of drainage and other engiqeering problemso
The Mayor asked if anyone wi~hed to address the Council on this matter.
Mr. Don Buell, addressed the Council a~d submitted a petition containing 105
signatures of property owners in the i~ediat~ area protesting the granting of
saia reclassification. Others address~ng the Council in opposition were Payton
Bryan, Margaret Wade, W.C. Davis, John ICrimnel, Mre Zachreson, Jim Donart,
Robert Zink, and Dottie Yert.
City Engineer, George Eo Hol~oke submitted a letter that had been
sent to the City Council through his o~fice from Mr. Roy W. Solomon, requesting
decision on this reclassification be w~theld at this time as he was unable to
furnish the Ci ty wi th certain informatijon necessary because of illness in the
family.
The Mayor asked if anyone in ,the audience favored the reclassification.
There was no responce. After further diiscussion the Mayor declared the Hearing
closed.

CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING: BALL~DALE AN~EXATION: Public Hearing was continued
from the June 26, 1956, meeting to allow for the checking of protests filed
against the proposed annexation of this inhabited territory to the City of
Anaheim.
The City Clerk reported that due to the number of signatures on the
petition of opposition and the present volume of business In the City Clerks
