wrecking yards now require a Special Use Permit and a review by the City
Planning Commission and the City Councila
Mro Ted Karcher~ owner of the property to the south, address the
Council in opposition to the granting of the Variance, and advised that Mr.
Clark had approximately 25 or 30 wrecked cars now stored on this property
without the Varianceo

space for the operation of his busine~s, and that he leased the adjacent property
for a five year period. He plans to establish off=-street parking, paint the fence

After further discussion wi~h reference to the construction of a masonry
wall and other conditions that the Ci~y Council felt should be established, the --,

SCHOOL CROSSI NG GUARD =-> BROOKHURST AT FALMOUTH; Request of Mre Paul WQ Cook,
Superintendent Anaheim City School District, and recommendation of Captain
Thomas V. Taylor, Anaheim Police Department, for a school crossing guard on Brook~
hurst at Falmouth Street for the John Marshall School was submitted and read.
Said request was granted by the City Council on motion by Councilman
Schutte, seconded by Councilman Coonso MOTION CARRIED.
FIRE DEPARTMENT: On motion by Councilman Wisser, seconded by Councilman Fry, the
Anaheim Fire Department Aerial Unit was authorized to participate in a program to
be held in the City of Orange, October 6, 19560 Said participation to be declared
to be official business and a kick=off to the Junior Fireman Program" MOTION CARRIED.
