_CHRISTMAS. Mr. George Strachen, Secretary of the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce,
announced that Santa Claus comes to Anaheim, Monday, December 3, 1956, the date
on which the stores will start to stay open evenings, and that a short parade
will start at Philadelphia Street and continue to just this side of Palm Street
which will consist of probably two floats and a bando
The Council indicated no objections to these arrangementso

The Mayor declared the foregoing Resolution duly passed and adopted~
CHANG~ ORDFR -.> CONTRACT (WORK ORDER 226.1): The Director of Public Utilities,
George F~ Oelkers, recommended a Change Order be authorized, and that the
transformers for the new 11~4 KV Substation be built so that a forced-air
cooling system can be installed that would increase the capacity of the electrical
substation facilities approximately 25%. To build the transformers so that the
cooling system can be installed when electrical demands require it would cost a
maximum of $3,9790000
Councilman Coons moved that the City Council authorize a Change
Order 1n a maximum amount of $3,979000, as recommended by the Director of Public
Utilities, to the contract with the Bechtel Corporation entered into pursuant to
Resolution Noo 3505 for the construction of a 11-4 KV Substation (W.O. 2261) to
build the transformers so that a forced-air cooling system can be i.nstalled when
requireda Councilman Wisser seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED.

Mayor Pro Tern Wisser called the meeting to order.

FINAL MAP, TRACT NO. 3051, City Engineer, George E. HOlyoke, reported that the
final map of Tract No. 3051 was substantially the same as the tentative map pre-
viously approved and that all fees have been paid and necessary bonds posted, and
recommended the acceptance of said tract.
Councilman Coons moved the Final Map of Tract No. 3051 be accepted sub-
ject to engineering requirements as recommended by the City Engineer. Councilman
Fry seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. (Location. South side of East North
Street, east of the Santa Fe Railroad Track)
