NORTHEAST ANNEXATION NO.2: Communication from the City Planning Commission
dated December 13, 1956, was submitted and read in full, recommending to the
City Council that action be started to annex to the City of Anaheim that
area as outlined on a map specified as the Northeast Annexation Noo 20
The Administrative Officer reported that the people in this area
have for the last five or six months requested consideration by the City
Council on the matter of annexation, and that should this territory be annexed
to the City it would provide a possible site for a water reservoir, which
would give Anaheim adquate supply of water that would be of primary importance
to the City, and would eliminate the danger of being out of water when the
LaVerne Plant is shut off by giving Anaheim a complete other source of water
from Lake Matthewso Further, that the present line is too small to serve the
area during a time of distresso Mro Murdoch further pointed out that the
proponents are aware that they are to stand the cost of improvements for
their own developmento
