-[~: The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held January 8, 1952 were approved on
motion by Councilman Wisser, seconded by Councilman Van Wagoner. MOTION CARRIED.
Councilman Van Wagoner reported demands against the city amounting to
$62,539.14. Councilman Boney moved that report of Finance Committee be accepted and
that warrants be drawn upon the Treasurer to pay said demands in accordance with report.
Councilman Wisser second.ed the motion. MOTION CARRIED.

Treasurer, $1,129.00. Garbage and Trash collections, 26 loads of garbage, or 81 tons
and 252 loads of trash.
The foregoing Operative Reports were ordered received and filed on motion
by Councilman Heying, seconded by Councilman Boney. MOTION CARRIED.

Appeal from action of the City Planning Commission by Mrs. Paul Williamson
relative to Variance No. 159 was submitted and read.
Variance No. 159 was granted by the City Planning Commission December 10.1951.

was held for the purpose of receiving sealed proposals for the leasing of city properties ~

The Clerk was instructed to open bids on motion by Councilman Van Wagoner,
seconded by Councilman Wisser. MOTION CARRIED.
Bid received: Bid for oil and gas leas was submitted by Steele Petroleum
Company, a'corporation.
Councilman Van Wagoner moved that the bid submitted by Steele Petroleum Co.
be accepted. Councilman Boney seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED.
Mr. Cook of the Steele Petroleum Co. addressed the Council and explained all
details pertaining to the bid.
The City Attorney declared the bid to be in proper form.
cOr.PIJ..JNT : DeGS: Complaint by Mrs. J. E. Fisher, 702 South Ohio Street on the inabili ty
to cope with the Dog situation inthe City of Anaheim. and requested that steps be taken
to remedy the situation.
Her statements were supported by Mrs. Chandler, a resident on Charlotte
Avenue.
Mayor Pearson replied that steps would be taken for the improvement of handl-
ing the dog situation in the City of Anaheim.
It was brought up that Meter Reader, Albert Erickson was again bitten by
vicious dog.
Councilman Heying stated that in his opinion the Ordinance should be brought
up to date.
Councilman Boney moved that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a new
Ordinance for the enactment and better inforcement and regulation of the keeping of
dogs in the City of Anaheim. Councilman Heying seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED.

the City Council requesting that the City Council favorably consider the abandonment
of the portion of certain streets and alleys situated in the City of Anaheim in the
vicinity of the Kwikset Locks Plant; namely, that portion of Kroeger Street, for a
distance of one city block, and that portion of the alleys running between Koreger
Street and Atchison Street in the block bounded by Santa Ana Street, Atchison Street,
East Water Street and Kroeger Street.
Concurrently with the abandonment of the said portions of Kroeger Street
ano said alleys, Kwikset Locks, Inc. will deed tothe City of Anaheim sufficient prope~
ty for an alley 20 feet in width running due North and South and parallel to the
proposed abandonment of Kroeger Street, but approximately in the center of the block
between the proposed abandonment of Koreger Street and Atchison Street, and connecting
with Santa Ana Street on the North and that portion of the alley to the South that
would not be abandoned.
IN'ANCE NO. 7 Councilman Boney offered Ordinance No. 796 and moved for its
passage and adoption. Councilman Heying seconded the motion. Said Ordinance was
read in public for the first time. MOTION CARRIED.

in regard to the Subdivision.
Discussion was held on the type of sidewalks and curbs to be installed.
The City Engineer especially requested that 24" roll gutter curbing be
installed in the tract.
Councilman Heying moved that Tentative Map of Tract No. 1456 be accepted
with the exception that Tract be not opened on Carlson Street. Councilman Boney
seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED.

northerly side of E. Center St. from East St. easterly to the westerly line of

Anaheim, under proposal to be known as Ball Road Annexation, and requesting consent
of the City Council to commence and conduct said proceedings for the annexation to the
City of Anaheim of the several tracts and parcels of property contained therein, the
boundaries of said proposed annexation was submitted by Administrative Officer, Keith
A. Murdoch.
Councilman Boney moved that the Council consent to the petitions to initiate
and conduct annexation proceedings for annexation to the City of Anaheim of the
territory as described in the several petitions requesting consent of the City Council,
and that the matter be referred to the City Planning Coomission for consideration and
their recommendations, and further that the City Planning Commission be advised that
the City Council does consent to said proceedings. Motion seconded by Councilman Van
Wagoner. MOTIUN CARRIED.

That the prevailing ordinances regulating the traffic on municipal auto
parks be enforced, incuding two-hour parking, night parking and truck parking, pro-
viding however that all six auto parks be re-signed in large visable letters on
pavement and with board or galvanized signs at entrance points.
