Mro Torborg addressed the Council, advising that his application
before the Akoholic Beverage Control Board had been protested by the Downtown
Merchants' Association on the grounds of insufficient off-street parking, and
reiterated his written request for information as to Council policy on this
mattero
Discussion was held by the Council, and Councilman Chandler moved
that the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board be informed that up to and including
the present time, no off-street parking has been required of businesses in
that particular block on that side of the street (180 West Lincoln)o

regarding the establishment of policy regarding driveway approach applications on
Lincoln Avenue (Center Street) 0 Councilman Coons moved that the City Attorney's
office be instructed to prepare an amendment to the Code (Section 15008.030) that
requests for driveway approaches on Lincoln be handled through the Engineering
