their dealership building, was submitted at the Council meeting of December
12 19619 and continued to this date for further investigation and reporto
Mra Griffin addressed the Council and requested a further con-
tinuance, as he has been unable to obtain the information requested by the
Council because of the Holidayso
On the request of Mra Griffin9 the Council further continued the
matter to January 9, 1962, 3:00 PoMa
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NOo 154: Request of Haldon Ro Harrison, Attorney repre-
senting Wrather Hotels9 Inco, for interpretation and/or waivers with
respect to certain conditions set forth in Conditional Use Permit Noo l54~
was submitted at the meeting of December 19, 19619 and continued to this
date for further investigation and inspection of the areao
Mro Murdoch reported that the extension of the curbs and gutters
to a point opposite the fence which indicates the southerly extremity of the
land being used for the golf course? and the landscaping of the area between
the fence and the curb on Walnut Street, if the sidewalks were to be waived,
appears to be satisfactory to the applicantVs attorney; that in considering
the street lighting of the area, perhaps the appropriate answer might be to
hang the regular street lamp on the existing wood pole rather than erect the
ornamental type poles~ and suggested that action on the street lighting
requirements be postponed for one week to allow an opportunity to actually

confirmed statem~nt5 made by Mro Murdoch and advised that they would have
no objection to reasonable landscaping and extension of the curbo
Councilman Coons moved that the applicant be granted temporary
waiver of the sidewalks on Walnut 5treet and Cerritos Street, and in lieu
of the installation of the sidewalks, that the applicant complete the
street improvements to the southerly extremity of the golf course develop-
ment on Walnut Street9 and landscape the area between the fence and the
curb on both Walnut Street and Cerritos Streeto Councilman Chandler

Mro Harrison was advised that the matter of the street lighting
would be placed on the next weekis agenda, January 29 19620
Mra Murdoch further reported on the requested waiver of the
height limitation to provide for the exterior elevator structure~ that
this Conditional Use Permit Noo 154 was acted upon by the City Planning
Commission and no action was taken on said application by the Council,
therefore, any change in the conditions at this time must be acted upon
by the City Planning Commissiono
Discussion was held by the City Council, and Mro Harrison and
Mro Irving Weber9 Architect, advised9 regarding the waiver of the height
limitations9 that the proposed extension would not house any mechanical
equipment, but would be merely a cupola for the purpose of lighting the
elevator shaft9 and displayed their proposed plans to the Councilo
Mro Harvey Hiers, representing himself as well as Kimberly
Investment~ the lessee~ addressed the Council regarding Conditional Use
Permit Noo 1249 and advised that they were not opposed to the Disneyland
Project~ but requested if the height limitation is waived as requested by
Mro Harrison9 that they be given the same consideration on their project,
regardless of the height~ less the six foot differential in ground levelo
Councilman Chandler moved that the City Council recommend to
the City Planning Commission that their Resolution Noo 73, Series 1961-62
granting Conditional Use Permit Noo 154, be amended to include the follow-

family restaurant serving full Course meals at booths and tables, with a
seating capacity of approximately forty-seven people, and further, that the
applicant is making application to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board for
a license to serve beero He further advised that final plans have not been

ORANGE COUNTY REGIONA+ PARKS~ WESTERN AREA: Mro Wayne Bo Reedstrum, 517 Falcon
5treet~ addressed the Council as member and chairman of the Inter-City
Regional Park Survey Steering Committee, explaining the organization and
membership of said Committee, and requesting that the Anaheim City Council
endorse their recommendation to the Orange County Board of Supervisors
that consideration and study be given pertaining to the feasibility of
establishing a regional park in the western part of Orange Count Yo
Inasmuch as the Council desired to further study the regional
park data submitted by Mro Reedstrum to each Councilman, action on this
matter was continued for one week3 January 23 1962o
