Mr. Bud Harris, H tris Insurance Company, addressed the Council,
advising that their firm, wih the consent of the City, had conducted a
survey of the City of Anahe ~ for the purpose of group insurance, and
advised that they were prep ted to immediately submit a bid to give the
City the coverage that they 4esire on a guaranteed twelve month contract,
at a figure considerably le ~ than the increase indicated by Blue Cross.
Further, that they would re 4mmend that the City go on a month-to-month
basis in order to secure in ormation as to what is available on the market.
Discussion was he d. by the Council, and Councilman Coons withdrew
his motion.
Mr. Joe Giesler, City Attorney, called attention to the
fact that if the present co iract is cancelled at this time, we would lose
the major medical coverage, basically, from January 1st to April 1st. That
if it should go to bid, it ijould be considered to have the contract
te~inate December 31st, as ~ost insurance companies apparently are on
the fiscal year from Januar 'lst to December 3lst, and in that way, it
wOuld be simple at any time to make a conversion from one contract to
another.

Mr. A. R. McDanie ~ Authorized Agent, addressed the Council, calling
attention to the fact that ~e opposition is primarily across Magnolia
Avenue from the subject pro rty and if, in the future. the opposition
wished to submit applicatio I for C-l zoning, they would not object to said
commercial developmento Th t in his opinion, a commercial development in
this iDlllediate area, on the tvest side of Magnolia, would not be i~compatible
with their proposed R-3 dev ~opmento Regarding the wall, he advised that they
would have no objection to ~e ere~tion of the wall at this time on the south
property line. That the Ap ~icant requested R-3 zoning for the entire property
because he did not feet the it had a commercial potential at the present time.
Plans from the fl , were reviewed by the Council and Mr. McDaniel

Mr. Leo F tis and Mr. Robert MacMahon, Attorneys rep.resenting
all of the individu trailer parks in the City of Anaheim, with the
exception of two, a ~ressed the Council in opposition to said proposed,
ordinance. They ca ~ed attention to the like provisions of the State

requirements of sa! jproposed ordinance are, at present, a condition of the
Anaheim Municipal C ~eo Further, the trailer parks are receiving a good
inspection by the S +te without charge at the present time, therefor, their
main objection was ~ the $2.40 annual inspection fee for each trailer site
within the trailer .rks, as many of the parks are for adults only and the
trailer site is p rmanent with a permanent structure, including land-
scaping.
Mr. Gauer IChairman of the City Planning Commission, addressed
