RESOLUTION NO. 70R- QR
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM WITH THE GARDEN GROVE SANITARY DIS-
TRICT FOR THE JOINT USE OF SEWER FACILITIES.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the Garden Grove
Sanitary District both have the power to provide sewer service
within their respective boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the boundaries of the City and the boundaries
of the District now partially overlap; and
WHEREAS, it is the mutual desire of the City and Dis-
trict to cooperate to the end that both their systems may be
best utilized with the minimum expense to the taxpayers and to
avoid duplication of facilities and to maximize savings to both
City and District; and
WHEREAS, the District and City have proposed to
jointly use facilities in Orangewood Avenue and West Street as
provided by the terms of an Agreement dated the 4th day of
February, 1970, and this day submitted to the City Council for
execution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Agreement dated February 4, 1970,
this day submitted to the City Council, providing for the con-
struction and joint use of sewer facilities in Orangewood Ave-
nue and in West Street upon the terms and conditions set forth
in said Agreement, be and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized to execute such Agreement for
and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
