RESOLUTION NO. 83R-4l9
A RESOLUTI~N OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VAtATING A PORTION OF SANTA ANA CANYON
ROAD EASTE~LY OF WEIR CANYON ROAD. (83-9A) .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did, by
resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate certain
public streets, high~ays or public service easements pursuant to
the Public Streets, $ighways and Service Easements Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, ~otice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted ~nd published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, qn the 25th day of October, 1983, a public
hearing was held to 4llow interested persons to submit evidence
concerning said propqsed vacation; and
WHEREAS, ~he City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the ~treet, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specific~lly described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public P4rposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, ~f and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facil~ties in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepteq by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the ~ublic convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be rese~ved for such facilities.
NOW, THER~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim qoes hereby order the vacation of a portion of
Santa Ana Canyon Road, more specifically described as follows:
PARCEL 5
Those portions ~f Lots 1 and 6 of Tract No. 865 as
shown on a map r~corded in Book 28, Page 18, of
Miscellaneous MaPs, Records of the County of Orange,
State of Califor~ia, described as follows:
Commencing at thle Southeast corner of Lot 1, Tract
No. 117 as per ~p recorded in Book 11, Page 15 of
Miscellaneous M~s, Records of Orange County,
California; thenpe along the Easterly boundary of
said Tract, N 00 40' 05" E, 2912.68 feet to the
Southerly line o~ the land described as Parcel
C26l6-l in the F~nal Order of Condemnation per
instrument recorbed in Book 9431, Page 619 of
Official Records~ Orange County, California; said
point also being the Westerly terminus of Line 23 of

BE IT FURT~ER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shal~ not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is rdcorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURT~ER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shalt not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURT~R RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange at such time as all of the following condi-
tions precedent to s~id vacation have been fulfilled:
1. Conveyance of fee title to property to the City of
Anaheim for the new a!ignment of Santa Ana Canyon Road.
2. The completlion of the relocation and reconstruction of
Santa Ana Canyon Road.
3. Both Conditions 1 and 2 shall be completed within two
years or such further time as the City Council may grant.
