WHEREAS, t~e City Council of the City of Anahe1m did

asking that !certain new territory described in said
be annexed ~o the City of Anaheim; and
v.lHEREAS, prior to the circulation or filing of said
petition, notice of ~ntention to annex said territory, contain-
ing the specific bou~daries of the territory to be annexed, was
filed with the Local !Agency Formation Commission; and
WHEREAS, s~id Local Agency Formation Commission has
rendered ltS decisioQ, as provided in Section 54797 of the
Government Code, approving said annexation; and
WHEREAS, s~id territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anaheim is sjJtuated in the County of Orange, State of
California, and is cqntiguous to the City of Anaheim and is
uninhabited territory, and said petition contained a description
of said terrltory inwards and flgures as hereinafter in this
resolution described; and
WHEREAS, tQe City Council finds from evidence and
reports recelved that at the time of the filing and receipt of
said petition, it was and now 1S signed by owners of not less
than one-fourth (1/4) of the land in the territory by area and
by assessed value in the territory proposed to be annexed,
according to the last preceding equalized county assessment
roll; and
WHEREAS, tQe City Council finds from evidence and
reports received and from said petition that at the time of
the filing and presentation of said petition that said new
terri.tory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim did
not form a part of aqy municipal corporation and that said
territory was uninhabited and is contiguous to the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition
and evidence and reports received that the boundaries of the
territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim
are as follows, to wit:

That parcel qf land located in the County of Orange, State
of California, de~cribed as follows:
Beginning at !a point in the existing City limit line of
the City of Anahe~, as established by the Blue Gum - Coronado
Annexation to the !City of Anaheim, passed by Ordinance No. 2309,
filed with the Seqretary of State August 15, 1966, said point
also being a point in the existing City limit line of the City
of Anaheim, as estlablished by the La Palma - Miraloma Annexation,
passed by Ordinanc~ No. 2580, filed with the Secretary of State
November 8, 1968, said point being distant from the centerline
intersection of Bl~e Gum Street and Coronado Street, North 730
43' 00" East 2l6.0!0 feet, North 160 18' 52" West 32 feet, said
point of beginning being a point in the West line of the East
48 feet of Lot 100. of the Eucalyptus Forest Tract, as shown
on a Map recorded :in Book 5, pages 29 and 30 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of O~ange County, California; thence
Leaving the e~isting City limit line as established by
said La Palma -Mir~loma Annexation, and following along a portion
of the existing City limit line of the City of Anaheim, as estab-
lished by said Blue Gum - Coronado Annexation, North 160 18'
52" West 298 feet, more or less, along a portion of the West
line of the East 48 feet of Lot 100 of said Eucalyptus Forest
Tract, to an intersection with the South line of Lot 53 of said
Eucalyptus Forest Tract; thence
North 730 43' 00" East 48 feet along a portion of the South
line of said Lot 53 to the Southeast corner thereof; thence
North 160 18' 52" West 310 feet, more or less, along the
East line of said Lot 53 to an intersection with a line parallel
with and 20 feet Sbutherly, as measured at right angles from
the centerline of Orange Street (40 feet wide), as shown on
the Map of said EuCalyptus Forest Tract; thence

from the centerline of Miraloma Avenue (formerly known as Anaheim
Road) said point of intersection being in the existing City
limit line of the Ciity of Anaheim, as established by the North-
east Annexation No. 2-A to the City of Anaheim, passed by Ordinance
No. 1269, August 12, 1958, filed with the Secretary of State
September 12, 1958, and recorded September 17, 1958, in the
office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California;

as established by said Blue Gum - Coronado Annexation and follow-
ing along a portion of the existing City of Anaheim City limit
line as established by the last mentioned Northeast Annexation
No.2-A, being the last mentioned parallel line, North 730 43'
00" East 1036 feet t to an intersection with the Easterly line
of Lot 13 of the Eu~alyptus Forest Tract, as shown on a Map
recorded in Book 5, pages 29 and 30 of Miscellaneous Maps, records

Leaving the la$t mentioned existing City of Anaheim City
limit line and follQwing along the Easterly line of said Lot

Following along a portion of the last mentioned existing
City limit line of the City of Anaheim, being a portion of the
last mentioned parallel line South 730 43' 00" West 252 feet
to an intersection with the Westerly line of the Easterly 48
feet of Lot 100 of Said Eucalyptus Forest Tract; thence
Continuing along a portion of the last mentioned City limit
line, being a porti~n of the West line of the East 48 feet of
said Lot 100, North 160 18' 52" West 12 feet to the point of
beginning.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim t at such proposed annexation be designated
as MIRALOMA-cOR: NADO ANNEXATION
and that not1ce of s h proposed annexat10n
~. hereinafter provided.
BE IT FURTaER RESOLVED that a public hearing shall be
had upon the date set, not less than forty (40) nor more than
sixty (60) days after the passage of this resolution, unless the
owner or owners of aliI of the territory to be annexed have peti-
tioned for annexation or filed their consents to such annexation,
in writing, with the City Council in which event the hearing
shall be set at any time after compliance with Section 35311 of
the Government Code.
BE IT FURT~ER RESOLVED that the City Council does find
that the owner or owqers of all of the territory proposed to be
annexed have nnr p~titioned for annexation or filed their
consents to such ann~xation, in writing, with the City Council.
BE IT FURT~ER RESOLVED that the 10th day of March
19 70 , at the hour ~f 1:30 o'clock P. M., at the City
CouncIl Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim be, and
the same is hereby, ~ixed as the day, hour and place when and
where the City Council will hear protests made by any owner or
owners of real property within the territory proposed to be
annexed; and that at any time before the closing of said hearing
on protests, any owner of property within said territory may file
with the City Clerk a written protest against the annexation.
Said protest shall be in writing and shall state the name of the
owner of the property affected and the description and area of
the property in general terms.
BE IT FURT~ER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a copy of this reso-
lution to be publishSd at least twice, but not oftener than
once a week, in a newspaper of general circulation, published in
the City, to wit: The Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange
County, California, and also in a newspaper of general circula-
tion, published outs~de of the City, but in the County of Orange,
in which is located the territory hereinabove proposed to be
annexed to the City of Anaheim, to wit: Th~ P1Rytnii;!l ~nnri~r
; and that such publicat10n s al be comp eted
at least twenty (20) days prior to the date of hearing herein-
above specified.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, qnd she is hereby, authorized and directed
to cause written not~ce of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to each person to whQm land within the territory proposed to be
annexed is assessed, in the last equalized county assessment roll
available on the date the proceedings were initiated, at the
address shown on said assessment roll or as known to said City
Clerk, and to any pe~son who has filed his name and address and
the designation of lands in which he has any interest, either
legal or equitable, with said Clerk; and in the event that land
within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of
Anaheim is owned by a County, the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim shall also cause written notice of such proposed annexa-
tion to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such County.
The foregoing notices shall be given not less than twenty (20)
days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
