A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT TO BE MADE
AND ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, DIVISION OF
HIGHWAYS, PROVIDING FOR THE EXCHANGE OF
REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN PIONEER PARK
IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM; AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF A CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH.
WHEREAS, the State of California, acting by and
through its Department of Public Works, Division of High-
ways, contemplates the construction of a portion of the
Orange Freeway, State Highway, Route 57, adjacent to
Pioneer Park in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, acting by and
through its Department of Public Works, Division of High-
ways, contemplates the construction of an overcrossing of
the Orange Freeway from Pioneer Park in the City of Anaheim
to the residential area on the east side of said Orange
Freeway; and .
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim heretofore conveyed
certain real property to the State of California to be used
in connection with the construction of said over crossing; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, acting by and
through its Department of Public Works, Division of Highways,
now desires to exchange the aforementioned real property for
certain real property deemed more suitable for use in con-
nection with the construction of said overcrossing; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the exchange
of real property described in a certain Corporation Grant
Deed in favor of the State of California, dated 12-16-6q ,
copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk,
for real property described in the agreement referred to
above and outlined in lavender on a map entitled "Exhibit
A" attached to and made a part of said agreement, would be
for the benefit and best interest of the City and should,
therefore, be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim, that the proposed agreement this day
submitted to the City Council to be made and entered into by
and between the City of Anaheim and the State of California,
Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, entitled,
"Right of Way Contract - State Highway" providing for the
exchange of certain real property located within Pioneer Park
in the City of Anaheim, be and the same is hereby approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to
execute on behalf of the City of Anaheim, Corporation Grant
Deeds in favor of the State of California covering the pro-
perty to which reference has been heretofore made.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the
City Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized and directed
to execute on behalf of the City of Anaheim that certain
Right of Way Contract - State Highways, a copy of which is
on file in the office of the City Clerk.
