A RESOLUTIOlf OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT NO. 1141
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive an application for a conditional use permit
from Huyett Howard Gaines, 899 South West Street, Anaheim,
California, Owner, to establish a cat kennel for the breeding
and raising of domestic show cats for sale on the following
described property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, to wit;
Beginning at the southeast corner of said lot 30,
being the intersection of the center lines of
Ball Road and West Street as shown on said mapi
thence south 890 58' 56" West 388.70 feet along
the southerly line of said lot 30, to the south-
easterly corner of the land conveyed to Fannie
Moore, by deed recorded March 2, 1929 in Book 251
Page 139 of official records, thence north 00 23'
00 Ii 'West 785.46 feet along the easterly line of
said land to tile northeasterly corner of said landi
thence North 780 20' 00" East 166.00 feet to the
easterly line of said lot 31, being the center line
of said West street; thence southeasterly 861.95
feet along the easterly line of said lots 30 and
31 to the point of beginning.
Except that portion thereof lying southerly of the
following described line; beginning at a point on
the Westerly line thereof, South 00 17' 3411 East
157.76 from the northwesterly corner thereof;
thence North 740 25' 12" East 174.83 feet to the
Southwesterly line of said v~st Street; tilence
at right angles North 740 191 56" East 33.00
feet to the center line of said West Street.

AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Coamission did. hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon
said application on November 3 ,1969, notices of '
which said public hearing were duly given as required by law
and the provisions of Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim'
MUnicipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Coamission, after due inspection, in-
vestigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and
after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at
said hearing did adopt its Resolution No. PC 69-226 Series

subiect to certain conditions therein set forth

WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty-two (22) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, the City Council
did elect, upon its own motion, to review the action of the
City Planning Commission in -spprovinq said conditional use
permit and did thereupon fix the 2nd day of December ,
19 69 , as the time and the Council Chamber in the City Hall
of the City of Anaheim as the place for a public hearing upon
said conditional use permit, and notices of such public hearing
were duly given as required by law and the provisions of Title
18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim MUnicipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hear-
ing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and did receive evidence and reports; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds, after careful conside-
ration of the reco~endations of the City Planning Commission
and all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, that:

The proposed use is properly one for which a
conditional use permit is authorized by the
Anaheim MUnicipal Code.
The proposed use will not adversely affect the
adjoining land uses and the growth and development
of the area in which it is proposed to' be located.
The size and shape of the site proposed .for the
use is adequate to allow the full development of
the proposed I.1se in a manner not detrimental" to the
particular area nor to the peace, health, safety
and general welfare.
The traffic generated by the proposed use will not
impose an undue burden upon the streets and high-
ways designed and improved to carry the traffic in
the area.

The granting of the conditional use permit under
the conditions imposed will not be detrimental to
the peace, health, safety and general welfare of
the citizens of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Com-
mission ~a~in% said conditional use permit be, and
. the same is ere y ~l1st:a~P-% ,and that Conditional Use
Permit No.. 1141 be, an t e same is hereby, granted
permitting the establishment of a cat kennel for the breeding
and raising of domestic show cats for sale on the property here-
inbefore described subject to tile following conditions:
1. That subject property shall be developed substan-
tially in accordance with plans and specifications
on file with the City of Anaheim, marked Exhibit
No.1.
2. That a time limitation of three (3) years shall be
granted for the use of subject property, and upon
request by the petitioner, an additional period of
of time may be granted upon approval by the Planning
Commission and/or City Council.

The City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke
such Conditional Use Permit for good cause or failure of said
owner, his heirs, Successors or assigns to comply with the
Anaheim Municipal Code and regulations and the conditions
herein.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 2nd day of December, 1969.
