A RESOLUTln' N. OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
ANAHEIM PO ICE PROPERTY ROOM SHELVING, IN THE
CITY OF AN ELM, ACCOUNT NO. 01-991-7121.

WHEREAS, t~e City Council of the City of Anaheim did
cause to be publishe in a ne~spaper of general circulation,
published and circul ted in the City of Anaheim, to wit: The
Anaheim Bulletin, on! the 23rd and 30th days of August, 1984, a
notice inviting seal~d proposals for furnishing the following:
All plant, labo~, services, materials and equipment,
and all utiliti~s and transportation, including power,
fuel and water,j and performing all work necessary to
construct and C!mPlete in a good and workmanlike
manner, in stri t accordance with the specifications,
plans and drawi gs therefor on file in the Office of
the City Engine r or City Clerk of the City of Anaheim,
the following p blic improvement, to wit:
Anaheim Police roperty room shelving, in the City of
Anaheim, consis ing of providing and installing
shelving for th property room within the allowable
space. The she ving shall be moveable and comply with
all Code and St te requirements. The anchoring,
supports, and f ooring shall be as shown on the plans
and delineated 'n the specifications. All work shall
be done in acco~dance with the plans and specifications
on file in the pffice of the City Engineer, Account No.
01-991-7121,

in accordance with t~e design, plans, profiles and specifications
of said public impro ement on file in the Office of the City Clerk
of the City of Anahe'mi and

WHEREAS, s~id notice inviting sealed proposals for said
public improvement d~d provide that sealed proposals would be
received by the City! of Anaheim at the Office of the City Clerk of
the City of Anaheim ~p to the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. on the 6th
day of September, 194, for the furnishing of all plant, labor,
services, materials nd equipment, all utilities and
transportation, inCls.. ing power, fuel and water, and performing all
work necessary to costruct and complete in a good and workmanlike
manner, the public iprovement hereinabove more particularly
mentioned and descri d, and which notice did state and declare
that pursuant to thel provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code,
the City Council of the City of Anaheim had ascertained the
prevailing rate of w~ges in the locality in which this type of
labor is to be perfo~med for each craft or type of workman or
mechanic needed to e~ecute the contract, and which wage scale is on
file in the offices bf the City Clerk and City Engineeri and

WHEREAS, t~e City Clerk of the City of Anaheim did
receive the fOllowint sealed proposals prior to 2:00 o'clock
on the 6th day of Se tember, 1984, in response to the notice
aforesaid inviting s aled proposals, to wit:

AND WHERE~' the City Engineer did thereupon examine and
tabulate said sealed proposals and did report to the City Council
the result of his ex mination and tabulation; and
WHEREAS, t;e City Council finds that the sealed proposal
submitted by ADVANCE OFFICE CONCEPTS, INC., 616 South State
College Boulevard, F llerton, California 93633, is the lowest
responsible proposal'submitted for the furnishing of all plant,
labor, services, mattrialS and equipment, all utilities and
transportation, incl ding power, fuel and water and performing all
work necessary to co struct and complete in a good and workmanlike
manner, in strict ac ordance with the specifications, plans and
drawings therefor onifile in the Office of the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim, the!public improvement hereinabove mentioned and
described, together i'ith the appurtenances thereto, and as
specified in the not ce inviting sealed proposals, and that said
proposal of said abo e-named bidder should be accepted and a
contract awarded to .aid bidder in accordance therewith; and
WHEREAS, tie City Council finds that the above-mentioned
sealed proposal is t e lowest responsible proposal received and
that the person, fir or corporation submitting said proposal is a
responsible person, irm or corporation and that the proposal
submitted is the best suited and fitted for the public improvement
to be constructed.

NOW, THERE tORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the sealed proposal submitted by said
contractor for the fhrnishing of all plant, labor, services,
materials and equipm~nt, all utilities and transportation,
including power, fue~ and water, and performing all work necessary
to construct and comtlete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in
strict accordance wi h the specifications, plans and drawings
therefor on file in he Office of the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim and the notife inviting sealed proposals, the public works
and improvement here~nabove more particularly mentioned and
described, together ~ith the appurtenances thereto, be, and the
same is hereby, accetted, and that a contract for the construction
and completion of sa d public improvement be, and the same is
hereby, awarded to t,e said above-named bidder.

AND BE IT fURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders upon each co!tract awarded as hereinabove set forth, shall
be, and they are her by required to execute a contract in the
required form with te City of Anaheim upon the terms and
conditions specified! in the notice inviting sealed proposals and
the proposal sUbmitttd by said successful bidder or bidders and in
accordance with the lans and specifications for said public
improvement hereinab~ve described, and in accordance with the
terms, conditions an~ provisions of this resolution, and that said
successful bidder or!bidders to whom each contract is awarded shall
be required to furniJh a surety bond in an amount equal to one
hundred percent (100 ) of the contract price for all labor,
materials and equipm nt to be furnished and performed, as set forth
in the sealed propos 1 submitted by said bidder for the
construction of said public improvement, together with the
appurtenances theret or such portion thereof as is covered by said
contract, as securitl for the faithful performance of said
contract, and a sepa ate surety bond in an amount equal to one
hundred percent (lOO ) of the construction cost of said public
improvement covered y said contract, as security for the payment
of all persons perfoming labor and furnishing material for said
project.
AND BE IT fURTHER RESOLVED that said successful bidder or
bidders be, and theyiare hereby, required to furnish to the City of
Anaheim in companiestsatisfactory to the City of Anaheim, public
liability, property amage, compensation, and other insurance in
the amounts and for he purposes set forth and specified in the
notice inviting seal,d proposals, and subject to the approval of
the City Attorney as!to form and sufficiency.
AND BE IT tURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk of the City of,Anaheim be, and they are hereby, authorized
and directed to maket execute and enter into, for and on behalf of
the City of Anaheim,!a written contract with said successful bidder
or bidders for the f,rnishing of all plant, labor, materials, and
equipment and perfor~ing all work, as hereinabove more particularly
described, for the Cfnstruction, installation and completion of
said public improvem nt hereinabove described upon the terms and
conditions as specif ed in the notice inviting sealed proposals,
the detailed design,!plans, profiles, drawings and general
specifications and d+tailed specifications and drawings, and all
addenda thereto, and! all modifications incorporated therein prior
to the date of the Otening of bids, on file in the Office of the
City Clerk of the Ci y of Anaheim and in strict accordance with the
terms, conditions an~ provisions of this resolution, and in
accordance with all Of the contract documents herein specified.
