OF ANAUIM AMEm>ING THE RATES, RULES AND
REGULAt~ONS FOR THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF
ELECTRtC ENERGY AS ADOPTED BY CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION NO. 71R-478 AND AMENDED BY CITY

WHEREA~I' the Ci~y of Anaheim maintains an electric
distribution sys~em for tne furnishing of electricity to
residents and inhkbitants of the City of Anaheim and has
adopted E1ectricC~tes, R~les and Regulations for the sale
and distribution of e1ect~ic energy; and
WHEREAS!, the Public Uti+i ties Board of the City of
Anaheim has rec~ended revisionsito Rule Nos. 2, 13 and 14
of said Electric Rates, Rhles, and Regulations in order to
clarify the interpretatiOh~and application of said Rules.
NOW, ~REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim tQiat Rule Nos. 2, 13 and 14 of the
Electric Rates, ~u~es and Regulations adopted by City Council
Resolution No. r~R-478 a~d amended by City Council Resolution
Nos. 73R-25, 73H-373, 73H-531, 74R-75, 74R-630, 75R-243,
75R-344, 75R-345, 76R-41, 76R-377, 76R-528, 76R-817, 77R-464
and 77R-628 be ~ended as follows, to wit:

Added facilitie~iare fac~lities provided by the Utility which
are in addition;~o, or i~ substitution for, the standard
facilities whici1ithe Uti~ity would normally install. Except
where. otherwise ~rovided~ by rate schedule, when' a customer
makes 'lfritten,~uest :foZ+ adde, d facilities and the. 'i.nstallation'
of such facili~~s 1s acqeptable to tne Utility, theaclded
facilities will ibe insta]j,led under one of the fOllowing
applicable cond~ions.

cost installed or the add~d facilities, plus the cost of
removal, less th, estimated salvage.

discontinue~to the .pp1icant and removed if it is used
for other tl1.n the 1ntended purpose. With "the Utility's
approval, a~emporary service may be used for noli;..
construct10npurposes when all applicable safety and
construction codes a~e adhered t~. If a non-utility
approved po~r source 1s connected on the construction
site,. the Uti1lity's temporary service shall be
discontinued. Service may be. suspended without notice
to the applicant as ~eQui~ed by Rule No. l4-B.

SHORTAGEi~F SUPPLt AND INTERRUPTION OF DELIVERY
SHORTAGE AND IN1$RRUPTION

1. The City w~~l exerc~se reasonable diligence to furnish a

customers ,-,d to avqid any shortage or interruption of .
delivery t~reof. ~t cannot, however, guarantee a con-
tinuous or :~ufficiertt.supply or freedom from interruption.
2. The City wi:~l not be liable for interruption or shortage
of supply, nor for ~ny. loss or damage' occasioned thereby.
3. Whenever, i~ the opeiration of the City's electric plants,
properties ,and/or slystems, interruption in" the. de11ve.r,
of electric; :energy tl,o customers resultsf:rom or is OCca-
sioned by c~uses othjer than the exercise by the City 'or ..

APPORTIONMENT OF SUPPLY DURING TIME OF SHORTAGE
The City, w.,never it shall find it necessary 'for the pur-
pose of makttt, g repairs or improvements to its system, will
have the ri*ht to sUJpend temporarily the delivery of
electricity. In all cases, as reasonable notice thereof
as circumst.,nces wi11 permit will be given .to the customer,
and the mak~ng of su~h repairs or improvements will be .
prosecuted .$ rapidly as may be practicable and, if practic-
able, at sudh times as will cause the least inconvenience to
its customeJl'$.
When it is l1,cessary. to suspend temporarily the delivery of
electricity 'tor r-epa!rs or improvements to the system in
accordance "'~th Paragraph B-1 above, and the customer
requests th~1i such s~spension of service occur at "other than
normal City Working hours, the customer shall pay in advance,
the total estimated labor related costs incurred by the City
for performtng the work during non-regular City work hours.
Should a shortage of sUPPlY ever occur, the City will apportion "
its available supply of e1ectricity among its customers as author-
ized or directed by the Utilities Director in the manner that
appears to him most equitable under conditions then prevailing.
