RESOLUTION NO. 98R-246
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL
PLAN DESIGNATED AS AMENDMENT NO. 358 (LAND USE
ELEMENT). (WITH CORRECTION TO TITLE)
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the
recommendations of the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim,
adopted a General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on the September 28, 1998, the City Planning
Commission of the City of Anaheim did hold a public hearing to
consider a General Plan Amendment, which public hearing was
continued to October 12, 1998. The General Plan Amendment does
consider changing the land use designation for an area consisting
of approximately 4.8 acres located on the northwest corner of Oak
Canyon Road and Weir canyon Road having frontages of approximately
625 feet on the north side of Oak Canyon Road and approximately 401
feet on the west side of Weir Canyon Road (Development Area 208 of
the Summit of Anaheim Hills Specific Plan No. 88-2); and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Planning
Commission did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC98-161 containing a
report of its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at said
hearing, and a recommendation that said Amendment to the General
Plan designated as Amendment No. 358 be adopted by the City
Council, changing the land use designation for the aforedescribed
area; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings and recommendations of the City
Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 17th day of
November, 1998, as the time, and the City Council Chamber in the
Civic Center as the place for a public hearing on said proposed
Amendment No. 358 and did give notice thereof in the manner and as
provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such
public hearing and did give all persons interested therein an
opportunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports and
did consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment No. 358 changing the land use designation in Development
Area 208 of the Summit of Anaheim Hills Specific Plan No. 88-2 to
Hillside Medium Density Residential land use in accordance with
Exhibit "A" on file with the City should be approved.
