80R-369 RESOLUTION NO. 80R -369
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM URGING THE GOVERNOR TO LIFT THE
ODD -EVEN GAS DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM IMMEDIATELY.
WHEREAS, Governor Brown has imposed emergency odd -even
gas distribution system at a time when gas shortages were
apparent; and
WHEREAS, this emergency odd -even gas distribution
system continues to be in effect even though we now see excess
gas supplies available; and
WHEREAS, the continuance of this system is imposing a
great inconvenience on the General Public in counties all over
the State of California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim strongly urges the Governor to lift the
odd -even gas distribution system immediately due to the
inconvenience caused generally throughout the State of California
at this time; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution
be sent to Governor Brown and to all cities and legislators in
the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 19th day of August, 1980.
