A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM MAKING A FINDING REGARDING THE
VALUE OF WRITTEN PROTESTS FILED AND NOT WITH -
'- DRAWN IN ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS FOR RED GUM -
CORONADO NO. 8 ANNEXATION AND ORDERING THE
TERRITORY ANNEXED PURSUANT TO SECTION 35229
OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, a petition for the proposed annexation
designated Red Gum - Coronado No. 8 Annexation to the City of
Anaheim in the County of Orange was heretofore filed by the
City of Anaheim, as chief petitioner, and accepted for
filing on April 22, 1980 by the Executive Officer of Local
Agency Formation Commission of Orange County, California
(hereinafter "Commission ") pursuant to Part 2 of Title 4,
Division 2, commencing with Section 35000 et seq. of the
Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the distinctive short form designation
assigned by the Commission to the territory proposed to be
annexed is: RED GUM - CORONADO NO. 8 ANNEXATION TO THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to
the City of Anaheim consists of approximately 19.6694 acres
of land located west of Red Gum Street, north of Coronado
Street, and east of Red Gum Street, north and south of
Coronado Street, in the County of Orange, and the exterior
boundaries thereof are specifically described in the legal
description attached hereto and by this reference made a
part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the Commission has heretofore determined
in its Resolution No. 80 -44, adopted on May 28, 1980 that
the territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
has heretofore adopted its Resolution No. 80R -376 initiating
proceedings pursuant to Section 35220 of the Government Code
for the annexation of the hereinabove described territory to
the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
conducted a duly noticed public hearing on September 30,
1980, and did hear and receive all oral and written protests,
objections, and evidence made, presented or filed in opposi-
tion to the proposed annexation of the hereinabove described
territory to the City of Anaheim.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim as follows:
1. That the City Council does hereby find that
m• the value of written protests filed and not withdrawn by
owners of land and improvements within the territory herein -
above described is less than fifty percent of the total
assessed value of land and improvements within said territory.
2. That the City Council does hereby order the
annexation of the hereinabove described territory to the City
of Anaheim pursuant to Section 35229 of the Government Code of
the State of California.
3. That the City Clerk shall file a certified copy
of this Resolution with the Executive Officer of the County
of Orange Local Agency Formation Commission.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 30th day of
September, 1980.

That certain parcel of land located in the unincorporated territory of the
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner, of the Red Gum - Coronado No. 7 Annexation
to the City of Anaheim, said northwest corner for the purpose of this
description being the northwest corner of Lot 72 in the Eucalyptus Forest
Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 5, pages 29 and 30, Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County; thence following along the west annexation
boundary line of said annexation S 16° 17' 00" E,640.00 feet to the north-
westerly corner of the Red Gum Coronado No. 6 Annexation to the City of
Anaheim; thence leaving said Red Gum Coronado No. 7 Annexation boundary line
and along said Red Gum Coronado No. 6 Annexation boundary line S 16° 17' 00"
E, 40.00 feet to the northeasterly corner of the Red Gum- Coronado Annexation
to the City of Anaheim; thence leaving said Red Grim- Coronado No. 6 annexatior
boundary line and following along the north line and the west line of said
Red Gum - Coronado Annexation boundary line S 73° 43' 00" W, 264.00 feet;
thence S 16° 17' 00" E, 310.00 feet to the southwest corner thereof, said
southwest corner being the southwest corner of Lot 127 in said Eucalyptus
Forest Tract, said corner being a point in the La Palma - Miraloma Annexation
boundary line to said City of Anaheim; thence S 73° 43' 00" W, 132.00 feet
leaving said Red Gum - Coronado Annexation boundary line and following along
a portion of said La Palma - Miraloma Annexation boundary line being the south
line of Lot 126 of said Eucalyptus Forest Tract to the southeast corner of
Lot 125 of said Eucalyptus Forest Tract, said southeast corner being the
southeast corner of the Red Gum - Coronado Annexation No. 2 boundary line to
the City of Anaheim; thence leaving said La Palam - Miraloma Annexation
boundary line and following along the east and north line of said Red Gum -
Coronado Annexation No. 2 boundary line N 16° 17' 00" W, 310.00 feet; thence
S 73° 43' 00" W, 244.00 feet to the northwest corner of said annexation,

along a portion of said southerly line also being said parallel line to the
southeast corner of said Orange -Red Gum Annexation boundary line, said
southeast corner being a point in a line parallel with and 20.00 feet
easterly of the centerline of Red Gum Street; thence N 16° 17' 00" W, 20.00
feet along a portion of the easterly boundary line of said
Orange -Red Gum Annexation, also being the last mentioned parallel line to
an intersection with a line parallel with and 20.00 feet southerly of the
south line of Lot 24 of said Eucalyptus Forest Tract, said parallel line
also being a portion of the former centerline of Orange Street now abandoned
by the Orange County Board of Supervisors recorded January 23, 1948 in Book
1613, page 340, of Deeds, records of Orange County, said parallel line also
being a point in the aforementioned La Palma - Miraloma Annexation; thence
leaving said Orange -Red Gum Annexation boundary line and following along a
portion of said La Palma - Miraloma Annexation boundary line, also being said
parallel line and centerline of said abandoned Orange Street
