RESOLUTION NO. 86R-373
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON THE 31ST DAY OF JULY,
1986, FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PEARSON PARK
AMPHITHEATER COURTYARD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
cause to be published in a newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, to wit: The
Anaheim Bulletint on the 3rd and 10th days of July, 1986, a notice
inviting sealed proposals for furnishing the following:
All plant, labor, services, mmaterials and equipment,
and all utilities and transportationt including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to
construct and complete in a good and workmanlike
manner, in strict accordance with the specifications,
plans and drawings therefor on file in the Office of
the City Engineer or City Clerk of the City of Anaheim,
the following public improvementt to wit:
Pearson Park Amphitheater Courtyard in the City of
Anaheim consisting of the development of a landscaped
courtyard area in front of the Pearson Park
Amphitheater and between the recently completed
restroom and concession buildings. In addition to
irrigation, landscaping and concrete work, the project
will include overhead shade structures, special night
lighting and a lighted fountain which will provide a
focal and melting point for the patrons of the
facility. The entire courtyard area will be enclosed
in a concrete block and wrought iron fence, with a
wrought iron rolling entry gate which will secure the
area during special events or periods of non-use,
Account Nos. 25-820-7103-20060 & 16-820-7103-20160,
in accordance with the designt plans, profiles and specifications
of said public improvement on file in the office of the City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the lowest bid was substantially higher than the
estimate and funds available; and
WHEREAS, upon recommendation of the City Engineer, the
City Council finds it is in the best interests of the City of
Anaheim to reject all bids received.
NOW, THEREFOREt BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that all bids for the Pearson Park Amphitheater
Courtyard development received up to the hour of 2:00 P.M. on July
31, 1986t and reviewed by the City Engineer be, and the same are
hereby, rejected.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim ~s 19th day of August, 1986.
