THE PuBLICATION OF THIS RESOLUTION.
\VHEREAS, a request nas been made for the abandonment
of that certain portion of an easement for road and public
utility purposes upon, over, across, along and through the
property hereinafter described; and
Wl:iEREAS r tne City Council of the City of Anaheim does
elect to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation
Act of 1941, to abandon or vacate said portion of easement for
road purposes and under the provisions of the Public Service
Easement Vacation Law, Title 5, Division 1, Article 5 of the
Government Code, to abanaon said portion of public utility ease-
ment.
l\IOH, THEREFORE, BE I'l' RESOLVBD by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it does hereby declare that it intends
to vacate, abandon and close to public use that certain portion
of an easement for roao. and public utility purposes upon, over,
across, along ana. through the follO\>ling described property
situated. in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, to wit:
That portion of an existing road and public utility ease-
ment locatea. in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows:
Commencing at tne centerline intersection of Lewis Street
and Orangewood Avenue, as said intersection is shown on
a l\lap of Tract No. 2691, recorded in Book 79, page 48 of
Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County,
California; thence South 00 00' 59" \^Jest 720.50 feet
along the centerline of said Lewis Street to an intersec-
tion with a line parallel with and 720.50 feet Southerly
of tne centerline of saia Orangewood Avenue; thence North
890 59' 01" West 45.00 feet to an intersection \vith a line
parallel \vibl ana 45.00 feet 1;'Jesterly of the centerline of
said Lewis Street, the last mentioned point of intersection
being tne true point of beginning, said point of beginning
being a point in a line tangent to the beginning of a
curve concave Southwesterly and riaving a radius of 15.00
feet; thence Northwesterly along said curve through a
central angle of 900, an arc distance of 23.56 feet; thence
Nortil 890 59' 01" \vest 82.69 feet tangent to said curve to
the rieginning of a tangent curve concave Southeasterly and
ilaving a raciius of 50 feet; thence Southwesterly along
last men.tioneci curve tnrougJ.1 a central angle of 340 54' 5511
an arc distance of 30.47 feet to the beginning of a reverse
curvc concave Easterly ana having a radius of 50.00 feet~
thence Southwesterly, Westerly, Northwesterly, Northerly,

mentioned reverse curve through a central angle of 340
54' 55" an arc distance of 30.47 feet; thence South 890
59' Olu East 82.69 feet tangent to the last mentioned
curve to ti1e beg-inning of a tangent curve concave North-
westerly an..... having a radius of 15 feet, thence Easterly,
Northeasterly anu Northerly along the last mentioned
curve t~1roug-11 a central angle of 900 an arc distance of
23.56 feet to all intersection with a line parallel with
and 45.00 feet Westerly of the centerline of the afore-
mentioned Lewis street; thence South 00 00' 59" West
94.00 feet along said parallel line to the true point of
Deginning.
ana that it does elect to proceed under the provisions of the
Street Vacation Act of 1941, and under the provisions of the
Public Service Easement Vacation Law, Title 5, Division 1,
Article 5 of the Government Code, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that reference is hereby made
to a map on file in the Office of the City Clerk for further
particulars as to the proposed vacation, abandonment and closing
to public use of saiu portion of easemen-t for road and public
utility purposes; anQ
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed
vacation and abandonment shall De fixed not less than fifteen
(15) days from the date of the passage of this resolution.
That the 20th day of August, 1968, at 1:30 o'clock P.M. in
tile Council Chamber in the City dall in the City of Anaheim is
hereby fixea as tne time and place for a public hearing on the
matter of such vacation, aDandonment and closing to public use
of saiu portion of easement for road and public utility purposes,
for all persons interested in or objecting to such proposed
vacation, abandonment and closing to public use to appear and
snow cause, if any they have, v/hy such portion of easement and
tile use thereof for the purposes nereinabove mentioned should
not be vacated, aDanaonea and closed to public useiand
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notices of such proposed
vacation and abandonment of said portion of easement and the use
thereof for tile purposes herein mentioned shall be posted con-
spicuously along the line of said portion of easement at least
ten (10) days before the Gate set for said hearing. Such notices
snaIl be posted not more than 300 feet apart, and at least three
(3) such notices shall be posted along the line of said portion
of easemen-t. Sucn notices shall state -the passage of this
Resolution of Intention and the time and place of the hearing
upon the matter of sucn vacation ana. abandonment of said portion
of easement; ana
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that proof of publication of
any notice required by this resolution shall be made by affidavit
as provided in the Code of civil Procedure, and proof of posting
of any sucn notice shall be made by affidavit of the person
posting the notice, setting forth the facts regarding such
posting, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall
certify to tile passage of this resolution and shall cause the
same to be published. in the manner prescribed by law, in the
Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in saia City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 30th day of July, 1968.
