Meeting The re~alar meeting was held in ~he banquet room
of tl~e Marigold Caf e at noon. Dr. Bignam presided and
called the meeting to order.

Variance A written requeet P~r a variance affecti.ng the ,
souti'Fteast corner of Sycamore Street and N. Claudina
Street ,~ae presen~ed. The requeat, which vaas sent
by ldies ~~n~ Te.gart and J. Pau1 Taggaxt; was read by
the e;zairman. A motion to recomraend that the variance
' be denied was unanimously ca.rried.
Connention The ohaxrman gave~ ~, report on the Pacific 8outh-
west Plannixu~ Connention. In hia opinion it was one of '•
the best and most instructive conventions he had ever
attended,
~i~~~aYB Ways and meane of protecting highways ~or through
traffic were discuesed, b~zt no action taken v~ith regard
to those in Aziaheim.
Meeting The chairman aeked for opinione as to the time
Time and and place af ineeting. Those responding etated that the
Place preaent arrangemen',; ie satisfactory. The Commis~ion
meete at noon ozi the third Friday of each rnonth.

buted to the Planning Commissionexs abou~ tv~o weeks
ago, was cloa~ly Yollov~ed. If you aie particularly
interested in anq of ths papers 8iscussed, please

SUBDIVI3ION The subdivision ordinance has been in the hande
ORDINANCE of the City Attorneq for moae tha,n a month. It is
practically the same as the one reoommended by the
Commi~sion l~,st year.
RECArATION Now that summer is practically over, it might
be ~ell ~or th~ Commission to seek the cooperation
of the High ~~hoo3 auinoriyies regard3ng an aduiti
phpeioal edu~ation or recre~tion plan whioh would
not necessarilq be aonnected ~ith any adult physical
education clase.
