Pianning Staff - George Strachan~ Manager of the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce
was present for a portion of the morning session,

Chairman Gauer opened the meeting at 10:30 0'Clock A.M, and Dick Reese
and William Stronach presented Comprehensive Plans for additional park sites,
outlining the procedure by which :hese were arrived at and brie`~3 the
meetings that have been held with the Citizen's Committees on this subject.
A wealth of detailed figures were presented to substaniate the plans as
outlined, It was the opinion of the Planning Commission that these
figures and recommendations be given further study the Commission before
placing these on the General Plan.
It was evident that a great deal of work and twice has been given to this
study.
At 12:15 0'Clock P.M., a recess was declar~d and the Commission ~econvened
at 1:30 O'Clock P.M., and Mr. Reese presented maps detailing the additional
elementary, junior high and high school minimum requirements fos which sites
should be acquired while open land was still available.
These requirements were arrived at with many consultations with the
elementary and high school officials as well as State of California
officials.
Further meetings are to be held on this suSject and it is expected that
at the next work session, some of the problems presented will have been
eliminated.
No date was set for the next work session.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:45 0'Clock P.M.
