We also opposed this under a reclassification for C-1, now if the ' ~
Variance was granted, they could do the same thing. If it was ~ ~
a small part-time business we wouldn't all be against it. He ~ j

and etated that the P. T. A. as such had not endorsed this request,
but that members of the P. T. A. were definitely in favor of it.
Mr. Frulic'::, spoke in favor of the Y. M. C. A. Mr. Collins stated
that the first thing is to acquire the property and then get the
plans. We fee~ that we can save some monsy, by doing it this way.
That is why there were no plans presented.

Mr. Geisler said a Special Use Permit is not something by way of
a Variance that is not allowed in the code, the only use in the
P-L Zone is parking and landscaping and only exception to that
is a service station the building must be backed up to the

I don't thinl~ you can utilize something that is not allowed
by the code, I don't know that it can`t be done though.
Mr. Collins said he would be in to see Mr. Geisler.
Mr. Geisler stated this action would not take care of the P-L'
until I can give you a definite answer.

April 18, 1960 at which time it was approved, and at a later dated

Mrs. Kerns appeared at this meeting to state that there is already
street lighting, in this area.
Commissioner Mungall made a motion to delete from the Resolution

in the Emergency R-3 Ordinance it requires R-3 property have a wall ,
and also, within 150' of residential zoning, a height limitation a
of 1 story when abutting residential zones. ~

Commissioner Morris offered Etesolution No. 265 - Series 1959-60,
fncluded in the R-3 Ordinance that one story limitation and fence

These maps and documents meet the reqoirements estarlished
by the County for Cities wishing to participate in the
Highway financing progranJ they consist of:-
1. A Master Plan-of Arteriai Highways.
2. Master plan of Highway rights of way.
3. Policy•statement regarding limitation of access to
Arterial Highways.
July 1, 1960, is the dead line date for adoption of these items.
Mr. Reese suggested that the Planning Comanission meet on
May 23, 1960 for a work session, at which time ae will bring
before you the General Plan of Highways and answer any
questions that you have at that time and the plan Nith the
right of way plus the cross section and detail that v-ill
go along with this plan, =his will be necessary because
of the'fact that our pext regular meeting will be un
T.~me 6, 1960 and July 1, 1960 is the day it is due, Nhich
will then give the City Council two meetings prior to
July 1, 1960.
