APPLICANT/PROPERTY OWNER: The properiy owner is Rober Nigogosyan and
the applicant is Dave Tanizaki.
R~QIJES'T: The applicant is requesting a variance to permit an ~ to 9-foot high
wrought iron fence that exceeds the maximum permitted fence height for an existing
commercial building currently operated as an alternative educational facility by the
Orange County Boazd of Education.
This request was originally processed as Administrative Adjusiment No. 2008-00331. A
letter of objection was received during the required 10-day notification period and
therefore, a public hearing was scheduled.
The applicant has submitted a letter requesting a continuance so they may request a right
of exemption from the Orange County Boazd of Education per Govemment Code
Section 63094. If approved, the right of exemption would exempt the school facility
from City of Anaheim development standazds and this request would be withdrawn.
RECOMI~IENDATYON: Staff recommends that the Zoning Adminisirator continue
this request to the May 28, 2009 Zoning Adminisirator meeting to allow time for the
appiicant to request a right of exemption from the Orange County Board of Education.
