i %~4EREAS, The City Planning Co~m~ission o£ the City of Anaheim has received
~ 2 a Verified Petition from WALT~ C. BARBER, 140 NorL4 Batavia Street, Orange,
California, as ow~er of a certain parcel of real property situated in the City
5 of AnaheAm, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
4 A portion of Lot 7, Anaheim Extension, beginning at the centerline
of Placentia Avenue and running Westerly along the Southerly right-
§ of-way line of the Anaheim Union Water Co., a distance of 253 feet;
thence Northerly 225 feet; thence Easterly 100 feet; thence South-
erly 134 feet; thence Easterly 156 feet; thence Southerly along
Placentia Avenue 91.5 feet to the point of beginning.
~ The applicant requests permission to erect Six One-Bedroom Dwelling
i 8 Units connected together to form a Six Unit Bungalow-Apartment
building 28 feet by 120 feet with a 10 by 22 £oot Laundry and
i 9 Storage Room on one end, and also a Three-Bedroom LAbelling for the

11 %~EREAS, The City Planning Commission did hold a Public Hearing at the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim, on February 6, 1956, NOTICES of wht.ch said
1~ Public Hearing were duly given as required by law and the pro¥isions of the
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9200; and
%~{EREAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies
14 made by itself and in its behalf and after due consideration of ali evidence and
reports offered at said Hearing, does find and determine the following facts:
1. A Variance was granted to this same owner to erect Three Duplex
16 l~ellings on 'this property, but the Variance expired before con-
struction was started.
17 2. The three duplexes are now proposed to be erected as a Six Unit
Ipartment building with an owner's residence.
18 3. The property faces on a State Highway, heavily travelled.
4. The granting of the Variance shoul~ not be detrimental to other
19 properties in the area. It is next to a Church site on the south
and also the Anaheim Union Water Co. ri:~.ht-of-way.
