DENYING VAJlIANCE NO. 643
WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim has received
2 Verified Petition from GRIFPITIt BROT}i~RS~ 922 West Center Street, Anaheim, Cali-
fornia, as Owners, JOHN D. GRIPPITH, Same Address, as Authorized Agent, of
5 certain parcel of real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows:

Lot Nos. 58 and 59 of Tract No. 1591, located at the Southwest ,~-orner of
5 Euclid and Crescent Avenues.
6 The applicants request permission to erect a Service S~ation.
7 %Fr~REAS, The City Planning Commission did hold a Public Itearing at the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim, on October 15, 1956, NOTICES of which Public Hearing
8 were duly given as required by law and the provisions of the ANA}HilM MUNICIPAL

WH~REAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies
10 made by itself amd its behalf and after due consideration of all evidence and
reports offered at said Hearing, does find and determine the following facts:

1. The property is presently classified as
12 howeYer, in view of tile Broadway Company development across the street,
this is not a logical use for ~he property.
13 2. Opposition from the single-[amil'y residen%s backing up to the subject
property was voiced.
14 3. The property could better be used for Multiple-fmnily dwellings of one-
story or changed to an
15 .lined in new proposed ordinances and which would be considered a better
use for property in this area and less detrimental to the single-family
16 residents.
4. Until signals are installed at this corner, there cduld be a hazzard to
17 children from this tract in going to thc Adclaidc Price School.
NOW, THeReFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THH ANPd-~IM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
18 HEREBY DENIES VARIANCE NO. 643 ~OR A SERVICE STATION ON THE ABOVE PROPERTY.
