WHIzP~EAS~ The City Planning Commission of the City of Anahe{m has received
a Verified Petition from the property own. er(s) of certain real property situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Starting at a point 20 feet South from the centerlines of Orange and Stanton
Avenues; thence Easterly 92 feet at right angles to St,%nton Avenue to a point
of begi~/_ng; thence Easterly along the Southerly right-of-way line of Orange
Avenue, a distance of 1240 feet, more or less; ~hence Southerly at right
an§les to Orange Avenue, a distance of 1349.70 feet, more or less; thence
Westerly parallel to Orange Avenue, a distance of 1240 feet, more or less;
thence Northerly along the Easterly right-of-way line of Stanton Avenue, a
dist-nnce of 1349.70 fee~, more or less to the point of beginning.
The applicants, GEORG~ W. ASAWA and BILL T. ASAWA, 9732 Stanton Avenue,
Anaheim, California, request that the above property be reclassified
to C-2, GENERAL COMMERCIAL. The property is presently classified as
R-A, RESIDENTIAL AGRICULTURAI
WHEREAS. The City Planning Commission did hold a Public Hearing at the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said V~RIFIED PETITION of RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F-56-57-40 on the 21st day of January , 1957 , NOTICE of which said
Public Hearing was duly given as required by law and the provisions of the
ANAH]~IM MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9200: and
';rHEREAS~ Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and st,dies
made by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence
and reports offered at said Hearings, does find and determine the following facts:
1. This property was under consideration by the County for rezoning at the
time annexation was sTar~ed and was d~pped from consideration.
2. It is proposed to develop the property with a supermarket as a nucleus
and have subsidiary stores.
3. It is located on a ma3or highway, Stanton Avenue.
4. The applicant's accepted a C-1, N~IGHBORliOOD COb~CZAL rather than
NOW, THEreFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT TH~ ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING CObP/ISSION
