A I(ESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEXM
WEEREAS, The City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim has received
a Verified Petition from the Owner(s) of.a certain parcel of real property situated
in %he City of Anaheim, County of Orange State of California, described as follows:
The wast 300 feet of the West 500 feet of the South 500 feet of Lot i of Tract
No. 2854, as shown on a map recorded in Book 90, pages 39 'and 40, Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, and further described as being on the North side of
Katella Avenue between west Street and Walnut Street. Presently classified R-A.
M.D.C. Corporation~ Owner, Suite 810, 9.15 W. 5th St., Los Angeles 13, California,
request permission to amend Variance No. 800 to read a Forty-eight (48) Lane
Bowling Alley, Billiard Room~ Restaurant, and Cocktail Lounge.
WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission did hold a Public Hearing at %he
City Hall in the City of Anaheim, on October 21, 3.957, NOTICES of which said
Public Hearing were duly given as required by law and the provisions of the ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9200; and
WHEREAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies
made by itself and in its behalf and after due consideration of all evidence and
reports offered at said Hearing, does find and determine the following facts:
1. This is an amended Variance adding to the 48 lane Bowling Alley the following
uses: Billiard Room, Restaurant, and Cocktail Lounge.
2. The amended uses appear to be necessary for the successful operation of such
a business.
$. The granting of the variance should not be detrimental to surrounding properties
as the subject property is in the Disneyland Recreational Area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
HEREBY GRANTS .~IA~CE NO. $00 for.'.'a~'.Port~-eight Lane Bowling Alley, Billisr~ Room,
Restaurant and Cock, ail LouI~e, subject to:
1. The erection of the' building in accordance with the pl. ans presented. -'
2. The deeding t'o %he City of A~aheim 20 feet along Katella Avenue for Street
widening.
$. Limiting the incidental uses to not oVer 1/5 of the net interior usable floor
area.
4.That plans of. all buildings shall be approved by an architectural committee,
one memver of wh/ch shall be a representative of the City of Anaheim.
