A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANN1NG COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F-58-59-47..BE APPROVEDJ
WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim has received
a Verified Petition from the property owner(s) of certain real property situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Parcel 1 (Baines property the West 200 feet of the North 250 feet of Lot 1 in
Block "A" Of Tract No. 15, as shown on a map recorded in'BoOk 9, Pase 12 of
· Miscellan, Jus Maps, records of orange County, California; Parcel 2 ~Bircher
propert~ Lot 1 in Block "A" of Tract No. 13, as shown on a m~p recorded in Book 9,
Page 12 of Miscellaneous Maps,. records of Orange County, EXCHPT the West 200 feet of
the North 250 feemt; Parcel $ (Groover property): The South 200 feet o~ ~Jt 2,
Block "A" of tract 18, Book 9, Pa?e 12, Miscellaneous Maps, and ~urbner described as
the Southwest corner of Lincoln Aw, hue and Empire Street, be reclassified from
R-A, P~SIDENTIAL AGRICULTURAL to C-l, NEIGHBORHOOD COI~ERCIAL.
The Applicants, Sanford Baines, 7122 Westminster Blvd. Westminster, California,
Albert Bircher, 8761 Bircher Street., Anaheim, California, G. Groover, 7711Bluegum Road,
Anaheim, California, as Owne~$$ Carl Arthofer, 2156 Harbor Blvd., as Authorized
Agent request that the Subject properties be reclassified from R-A, RHSIDENTIAL
AGRICULTURAL to C-l, NEIGHBORHOOD CON~RCIAL.
WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission did hold a Public Hearing at the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said VERIFIED PETITION of RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F-58-59-47 on the 5th day of January , 1959 , NOTICE of which said
Public Hearing was duly given as required by law and the provisions of the
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9200; and
WHEREAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies
made by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence
and reports offered at said Hearings, does find and'determine the following facts:
1. Several plans for the development of these properties were presented to the
Commission.
(a) The plan of the applicant - (h) Two plans hy the Plantin9 staff. (c)- PLan
proposed hy the residents in Lincoln Park Association.
2. None of the alternate proposed plans were suitable to the Applicant's A9ent.
S. A compromise plan was proposed hy the Applicants Agent, that Parcel 1 he chan9sd
to C-l, NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL and Parcels 2 and S be restricted to P-l,
Parking only.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
HEREBY RECOMMENDS TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION
NO, ~58-59-47 be approved for

1. Parcel 1 and the front Portion of Parcel 2 for a depth of 286ft. from the
centerlino of Lincoln Avenue be reclassified to C-I~ N~IGI~ORHOOD CO~/~RCIAL.
2. The balance of Parcels R and 3 be reclaaaif~ed as P-l, Parking subject to~
1. That Standard C-1Deeg Reatri.ction of the City of Ansheimbe filed on Parcel 1

8. Paynmnt of $2.00 per front ft. for street lighttog purposes.
9. A 90-day time limit for fullfillment of above conditions.
