A R~SOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F-58-59-$2 BE AI~ROVID
WHEREAS, The City Pl~n~ing Commission of the City of Anaheim has received
a Verified Petition from the property owner(s) of certain real property situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the centerline intersection of Placentia Ave. 60.00' in width & Vermont Ave. $~.00'
in width, said point also being the Southeasterly corner of said Lot 16; thence from said point of
beginning & along the centerline of Vermont Ave. & the Southerly line of said Lot 16, South 74° 34'
15" West $41.43', more or less, to the Westerly line of the land conveyed to Vernard Schroeder by
deed recorded in Book 352, Page 265, Deeds, Records of said Orange County; thence along the Westerly
line of the land of Schroeder, N. 15° 27· 20" W. 255.83~; thence entering the land of Schroeder,
North 74° 34' 15" E. 712.57', more or less, to the Easterly line of said Lot 16, & the center line
of Placentia Ave.; thence along the Easterly line o~ said Lot 16, & the centerline of Placentia Ave.
S. 0o 05' 15" W. 265.51t, mcr or less, to the point of beginning. ~XCBPTING THeReFROM the South-
westerly 340' thereof. The Southerly 135.00~ of the ~asterly 135.00' measured along the Easterly &
Southerly lines respectively of Lot 16 of Anaheim Extension, in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange,State of Calif., as shown on a map of Survey made by William Hamel and filed in the office
of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, a'copy of which is shown in Book 3, Pages 163 et seq
entitled "Los Angeles County Maps" in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County, for
the purpose of this description, the side lines of the streets are construed to be the lot lines.
The Applicant, jOSEPH HUARTE, 1464 East North Street, Aaaheim, California, as Owner, Arthur
Altheide, 14231 Wagner Ave., Anaheim, California, as Authorized Agent, request that the subject
property be reclassified from R-3 to C-3 to allow the erection of a building to sell automobile
accessories, such items as Tires, Batteries, Mirrors & small exterior accessories, & to also in-
clude a service dept., consisting of (a) Tire Service, (b) Brake Service, (c) Tune-up Service
(d) Wheel A ~t~,S~%y Planning Commission did hold a Public Hearing at tho
City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said VERIFIED PETITION of RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F- 58-59-62 on tho 2nd day of March , 1959 , NOTICE of which said
Public Hearing was duly given as required by law and tho provisions of tho
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9200; and
WHEREAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies
made by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence
and reports offered at said Hearings, does find and det,rmine the following facts:
1. On original application by the applicant was for C,-1 but a survey of the uses brought out at
the hearing showed the uses for a part of the uses would fall in C-3, so another petition was
requested.
2. A petition containin~ 35 names from property owners in the area was filed protestin~ the
classification to R-3.
3. A wall will be erected at the rear of the property and the uses apparent from Vermont Street
mk will be im C-1 in the store to be erected.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
HEREBY RECOMMENDS TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F- 58-59-62 be approved chanzing the subject property from R-3, MULTIPLE-PAMILY
Pd~SIDENTIAL to C-3, H~AVY COMMERCIAL, subject to:

1. Payment of $2.00 per front £oot on Vermont Avenue for street lighting purposes.
2. Prepare street improvement plans and install all improvements in accordance with .standard
plans on file in the Office of the City Engineer.
3. The filing of C-3 Deed Restrictions res'~ricting the uses to

b. Brake Service
c. ~une~up Service
d. ~heel~Alignment Service
4. I[~II[~X~C{~I Erection of the building in accordance with plans presented.
5. That a 90 day time limit be set for l:k and 3.
