A RESOI.UTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF 7HE CITY OF ANAHEIM RECONUl~eNDING TO
THE CITY COUNCIL T[-IE CHANGING OF THE NAME OF STANTON AVENUE TO BEACH BOULEV;RD.
Moved by Commissioner Summers and seconded by Commissioner Mauerhan that the foilowing
Resolution be adopted:
Resolved: in order to create less confusion to ihe Public and
give continuous Streets the same name between County and City
territories; and
WHEREAS the cities of Buena Park, Westminster and Huntingten
Beach have signified their intention to adopt s~id name, said
change to take place one year from date; and
WHEREAS, this change has been recommended by the Oxange
Courty Street Naming Committee and endorsed by the
California League of Cities, the Post Office Department;

NOW~ T'HEREf'ORE~ BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDS
TO THE CI?Y COUNCIL THAT THE NAME OF STANTON AVFMIH IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM RE
CHANGED TO BEACH BOULEVARD; SAID CHF,i~IiE TO BE MAD:: AFTER Q.^,'E YEARS TIME OF APPROVAL
BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND THAT :vR THREE YEARS THEREAFTHR SIGNS CARRYING THE NEW
NAME WITH THE OLD NAIu1E UNDERNEATH BE MAINTAINED FOR 7HREE YEARS AND THAT THE
