PC 1959-1960-43WHEREAS; in order to create less confusion to the Pubiic and
give continuous Streets the same name between County and City
territories; and
WHEREAS, the cities of Buena Park, Westminster and Huntington Beach
have signified their intention to adopt said name, said change to
take'place one year from date; and
WHEREAS, this change has been recommended by the Orange County
Street Naming Committee and endorseo by the California League
of Cities, the Post Office Department; the Southern California
Auto Club; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim C3ty Planning Commission did hold a
Pub13c Hearing on Monday, August 17th, 1959 on the proposed
change.
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED THAT THF: ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDS
TO THE CITY COUNCIL THAT TIiE NAME OF ~~TAN1'ON AVENUE IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM BE
CHANGED TO BEACH BOULEVARD; SAID CHANG.S TO BE MADE AFTER ONE YEARS TIME OF
APPROVAL HY THE CITY COUNCIL AND THAT FC1R THREE YEARS THEREAFTER SIGNS CARRYING
THE NEW NAME WITH THE OLD NA1~ UNDERNEATFi BE MAINTAINED FOR THREE YEARS.
