WHEREASy in order to create less confusion to the Public and
to-give continuous streets the same name between City and
County`'territories; and
WHEREAS, the Cities of Fuller.ton and La Habra have recommended
the adoption of said change to take effect in one year; and
WHEREAS, this change has been recommended by the Orange Cnu:~y
Street.Naming Committee and endorsed by the California
League of Cities, the Post Office Department; the Southern
California Auto Club; and
WHERBAS, at the intersection of South Palm Street and Harbor
Boulevard, Just south of West Vermont Avenue, this change does take
place and the street becomes Harbor Boulevard all the way to the
Coast; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a Public Hearing
on said proposed change on August 17th, 1959.
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED~ THAT T}IE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF ?HE CITY OF
ANAFIEIM RECOMMENDS TO il-IE CITY COUNCIL THAT TME NAME OF PALM STREET BE CHANGED
TO HARBOR BOULEVARD; SAID CHANGE NOT TO BE MADE UNTIL AFTER A FULL YEAR FROM TIiH
TIi~ OF AE~PROVAL BY THE CITY COUNCIL'AND THEREAFTER SIGNS CARRYING THE NEW NAME
WITH THE OLD NAME UPIDERNEATH TO BE MAINTpINED FOR THREE YEARS.
