WHE~S, The City Pl-nning Commission of the City of Anaheim has received
a Verified Petition from the property owner(s) of certain real property situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
That portion of the Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 15,
Township 4 South, Range 11West~ S. B. B. & M.~ in the Rancho Los Coyotes~ as
shown on a map by Charles T. Healey upon survey by him about 1870 for the
Stearns Ranchos Company, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the East line of said Section 15, 2036.76 feet North from the
Southeast corner thereof; thence West 660 feet to the West line of the East half of the
East half of the Southeast quarter of said Section 15; thence North 330 feet; thence
East dC0 fee~ tosaid East line of Section 15; thence South 330 feet to the point of
beginning.
M. L. McGAUGHY, 2966 Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim, California, as Applicant, requesting that
the subject property be reclassified from R-A, R~SIDENTIAL AGRICULTURAL, to R-3,
MULTIPL~ FAMILY R~SIDENIIAL.
W~S, The City Pl-nning Co,,,lssion did hold a Public Hearing at the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said VERIFIED PETITION of RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F- 59-60-41 on tho 26thday of October , 1959 , NOTICE of which said
Public Hearing was duly given as required by law and the provisions of
AN~,IM MUNIOIPA~ CODE, Sec%ion 9200; and
W~EREAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies
made by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence
and reports offered at said Hearings, does find and determine %he following facts:
1. Subject property is zoned R-A, R~SIDENTIAL AGRICULTURAL.
2. Property to the north is developed Single family residential. Tract
3. Property to the south, which is in Buena Park Has a Tentative/filed and approved
Single Family Residential.
4. There is no other R-3 zoning in the area and it is questionable as to whether this
wouldn't constitute spot zoning.
5. Applicant could not offer adquate justification for R-3 zoning in area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ANA~IM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
HERF~Y RECOMMF~NDS TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANA~IM THAT RECLASSIFICATION
NO. F-59_60_41 be Denied.
