A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM

WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim has received
a Verified Petition from the Owner(s) of a certain parcel of. real property situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
The North 289 fe~t of the E. 540 fi.' of the S. 25 acres of the SE~ of the SEJ~:of Sec. 18 in T4S,
RIOW, in the Rancho Los Eoyotes~ County of Orange) State of Calif., as shown on a Map thereof
recorded in Book 51) Page 10, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said'Orange County, excepting the W.
166 ft. of the 5. 271 ft. of the S. 85 ft. of the N. 110 ft. of the above described parcel, aisc

WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission did hold a Public Hearing at the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim, on March 7, 1960 NOTICES of which said
Public Hearing were duly given as required by law and the provisions of the ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE, Section 9200; and
WHEREAS, Said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and studies
made by itself and in its behalf and after due consideration of all evidence and
reports offered at said Hearing, does find and determine' the following facts: 15'O".
1. The applicant'is requesting permission to erect a free standing "advertising" sin0 6'11" x/
2. This sign would be a changeable copy sign advertising market merchandise.
3. There is alre. ady a free-standing "identification" sign advertising the entire shopping centex'.
4. That when one such "advertising" sign is permitted in such an area or centex' it establishes a
precedent for similar requests from the other tenants.
5. "Adv.ertising" siena are already .permitted in' commercial zones, when attached to the building.
6. Permzting free s{anding "advertising" signs jepordtses the integrity of the zonin~ code a~d
detracts f~om the appearance of our highways and'the community as a whole.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
HEREBY Denies .Variance No. 1211.
