the City of Anaheim on P.ugust 7, 1961 at 2:00 o~clock P.M., nc.tice of said
public hearing having been duly giv~n as required by]aw and in accordance wi•ih the pravi-
sions of the Anaheim Mucicipal Code, Chapter 18.68, to hear and coasider evidence foc and
against said proposed variance und to investigate anl mate findings and recommendationa
in connection therewith; and

self and in xts behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered
ac said hearing, does find and determine the following facta:
•1. That the petitioner requests a variance from the Anaheim Nunicipal Code:
9ection 18 16.010 and Section 18.08.390 to permit the incidental operation of a beauty
shop in an existing residence.
2. That the reo,~ested var.iance is not necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of a
substantial property right possessed by o4her property in the same vicinity and zone, and denied
to the property in question.
3. That the surrounding properties are residential in character and the establishment
of a commercial use on sub3ect property would not be compatible~with the surrounding develop-
ment . .
4. That verbal opposition by three owners of property in the area and a petition of
protest~ containing 75 signatures~ in addition to a letter of p=otest containing 2 signatures,
were recorded against subject petition.
