idFIDRBAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a publiC hearing at the City Hall in
the City of Anaheim on September 6, 1961, at 2;00 o'clocf P,M., notice of said
public hearing having been duly given as required by taK and in accordance with the provi-
sions of the Anaheim Municipai Code, Chapter 18.64~ to hear and co~ider evidence for and
against said proposed conditional use and to investigate and make findinga and recomuen-
dations in coanection therewith; and
WFIDRBAS, said Commission, after due inspec43on,investigation, and studp made by it-
self and in its behalf~ and after due consideration of all evideace . aad reports of~fered
at said hearing, does find and determine the followi.ng facta:
1. That the proposed use is properly one for which a Conditional Use Permit is

allow the full development of the proposed use in a manner not detrimentai to the parti-
cular area nor to the~peace, health, safety, and general welfare of #he c3tiaeas of the
City of Anaheim,

den upon the streeta and highways designed snd proposed to rsrrq the traffic ia the area.
5. That the granting of the ConditiAnal Use Permit under the conditiona iaposed,
if any, wili nor. be detrimeatal to the geace~ heelth, safety, aad general xeifare of the
citizens of the City of Anaheim.
6. That the Anaheim Legion Hall was established and was an allowable use on the subject
property before the adoption of the R-3, Multiple Family Residential, Ordinance, which created
thereby a non-conforming use of said property, and that the proposed improvement of said
property will not change the present conditions that exist on said property, but said im-
provements will constitute an improvement of the property thereby being of ben~fit to the
surroundi ng area.
7. That verbal opposition was recorded by one owner of property in the subJect area.

~~ 1. Installation of landscaping, including trees,in the uncemented parkway portions of the j
gy planned highway right-of-way of Lemon Street and La Palma Avenue abutting subject pro- ~
• y~ perty, or the provision of tree wells therein, plans for said landscaping to be submitted '
to and subject to the approval of the Superintendent of Parkway Maintenance, and installed •
, ~;'~ prior to Final Building Inspection, with the number and spacing of trees to be determined
by the Superintendent of Parkway Maintenance.
2. Development substantially in accordance with Exhibit Nos. 1 and 2.

3. Provision of parking space stripes in the parking area on subject proper.ty in accordance
with the open air parking space standards on file in the Planning Department.
4. Dedication of 32.50 feet from the monumented centerline of La Palma ~venue, (30 feet
existing).
5. Repair of damaged and/or hazardous sidewalks on La Palma Avenue in accordance with the~.
approved standard plans on file in the office of the City Engineer with the provision,
however, that said repair or replacement of said sidewalks may be postponed until such
time as the telephone conduit installation presently contemplated on !emor Street shall,
have bee~ completed.
6. Time limitatior of one hundred eighty ~180) days for the accomplishment of Item Nos.
4 and 5.
