RECOMI~:,ENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEI[1i TEiAT
PEfITION FOR RECLASSIFICATION N0. 61-62~62 BE DENIED
;~ WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Aneheim did receive e vedfied Petition for Reclaasifica-

Fairview Colony Tract, and further described as 1620 South Enclid Avenue
; and
WHEREAS, the City Plenning Commission did hold a public hearing et the City Hall in the City of Aaaheim on
January 8, 1962 at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice o~f said public headng having b~en dul
by Iaw end in accordance with the provisions of the Maheim Municipel Code, Chapter 18.72, to h er~aad cona der evi.
dence for and egainst ~aia propoaed reclassification and to inveatigate and meke flndings and recommendetions in
connection therewi~s and
WHEREAS, said Commission, aRer due inspection, inveatigation, and study made by itaelf end in its behalf,
and aftcr due consideration of ell evldence and reports offered at said heering, does finc1 end de4ermine the following
facts:
1. That the petitioner proposes e reclassification of the above described property from the R-A, RBSIDENTIAL
AGRICULTURAL, ZONB to the C-1, NBIGHBORHOOD COMMgRCIAL, ZONH.
2. That the proposed reclassification of subject property is noi: necessary or desirable
for the orderly and proper development of the community.
3. That the proposed reclassification of subject property does not properly relate to
the zones and their permitted uses locally established in close proximity to subject pro-
perty and to the zones and their permitted uses generally established throughout the com-
munity.
4, That the proposed high rise development would permit an invasion of privacy for
the surrounding R-1, One Pamily Residential, development and that a suitable medical center
facility could be developed on subject property provided it were deed restricted limiting
use of subject property to a medical center a~d limiting the height of said center to one
story,
5. That verbal opposition by two owners of property in subject area, in addition to
a petition of protest containing 265 signatures, was recorded against subject petition.
Verbal support by.one owner of property in subject area.was recorded in favor of subject
pe:ition.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Pienning Commis~ion does hereby recommend
to the City Council of the City of Anel~eim that subject Petition for Reclessification be denied on the besis of the
aforementioned findings.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is sigcied and epproved by me this 8th day of January, 1962.
