in the City of Anaheim' County of Orange, State of California, as follows: Lot No. 132 of
Tract 1697, and further described as 1716 East Santa Ana Avenue, Anahein~, Californfa

WHEREAS, the City Plenning Commiaeion did hold a publlc headng at the City Hall in the City of Aneheim
on JuRe 11~ 1962~ at 2:00 o'clock P.M., notice of seid public hearing heving been duly given es required
by law and in accordence with the proviaions of the Aneheim Municlpal Code, Chepter 18.68,to hear end consider
evidence for and egalnat said proposed variance and to inves~igate and make findinga end recommendetions in conaec-
tlocs therewith; end
WHEREAS, said Commisaion, after due inspection, investigetion, apd sh:s;y mede by itself and in ita behalf,
and efter due consideratlon of all evtdence and ceports offered as seid headng, does find and determine the following
facts:
1. That the,petitioner cequests a vedance from the Aneheim Municipel Code: SeCtion 18.24.030 (1) t0 .
construct a six foot masonry wall to enclose a proposed swimming pool in the front yard
of sub~ect property.
2. That there ere exceptional or extreordinary circumstences or conditions eppllcable to the property involved
or to the intended use oE 7he property thet do nut epply generelly to the property or class oE use in the same vlcinity •
and zone.
3. That the requested varience is neceasary for the preservaUon end enjoyment of a substential pmperty dght
possessed by other property in the aeme vicinity and zone, and denied to the pmpetty in question.
4. Thet the requested veriance wlll not be metedally detrimentel to the publlc welfate or injudoua to the prop=
erty or improvements in sur,h vicinity and zone in which the property is loceted. '
• 5. That the cequeated variance will not edversely effect the Comprehensive General Plen. ~

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anah~im City Planning Commission does hereby grant subject
Petition for Variance, upan the following coadition~ which are heceby found to be e necessery prerequisite to the pro-
posed use of the subject property in order to pcesecve the safety, aad general welfere of the Citiaeas of the City of
Maheim.
. 1. Development substantially in accordance with Exhibit No. 1 provided that said six
~. (6) foot masonry wall, be a decorative block wall, that it is to be constructed with a twelve
: (12) foot setback from the existing property line and constructed parallel to the right-of-way ~
i line o. Santa Ana Street.
~ 2, Installation of landscaping fronting the said decorative block wall, plans for said
landscaping to be submitted to and subject to the approval of the Superintendent of Parkway
Maintenance and said landscaping to be installed prior to Final Building Inspection of said
wall.
