A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLAIdNING ~MMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM RFAFFIRMING ITS POSITION
R~ARDING THE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES KiVOWN AS THE "NORTHFAST INDUSTRIAL ARFA:,
AND "5(,'UTHFAST INDUSTRIAL AREA"~ AND RECOMMENDTNG TO THE CITY'~liNC3L OF Th'E CITY OF
ANAHEIM THAT SAID ARE4S THE.RE3N9 REMAIDI AS THH ZD7UUSTRIAL ARE4S OF THE CITY OF ArIAHEI?1
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission and the City Council of the City of Anaheim
did adopt the Industrial Areas A.nalysi~ on March 5 and April 10, 1962, said analysis
proposed certain properties in the Anaheim area for industrial devel.opment, and
WHEREAS, the Ci~ty Plannir.g Commission of the City of Anaheim has received a number
of petitions for the reclassification of properties located in the Northeast Industrial
Area to the A-3, Muitigle Family Residential, Zone, and
WHERFAS, the City P'lanni~g Commission did request the initiation of a re-analysis
of the industrial needs of the City of Anaheim on May 13, 1963, to ascertain the necessity
of the land projections in the Anaheim area as stipulated in the Industrial Areas Analysis,
and
WHEREAS, aaid re-analysis of the Industrial Areas in the City of Anaheim was presented
to the Commission on August 19y 1963 at a public hearing, and
WHERFAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said re-analysis anc? concurs in the
conclusions and recommendationsy and
WHEkEAS, said re-analysis was presented to the planning and zoning corunittees of
the Anaheim Chamber of i.ommerce and the Anaheim Board or' Realtors, and
WHEREAS, said planning and zoning committees of the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce and
the Board of Realtors have recommended to the Planning Commission that the Industrial
areas as proposed in the Industrial Areas Analysis and on the General P1an, adopted by
the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim, be re-affirmed, and
WH,EREAS, the Cities of Fullerton and Placentia foxwa•rded letters to the Flanning ~
Commission recommending that the industrial areas be continued to be held for industrial
purposeso
A~0!Ny 7HEREFOkE~ AE IT RESOLVEDy that the proposal for 2,280 net acres of industrial
land reserves, lying within the present city limits and "areas of probab2e expansion",
(south of Eall Road, west of •the Santa Ana Riverg and west,of Dowling Street, ncrth of
the Riverside Fr.eeway) and the policy concerning Anaheim's industrial areas, is reaffirmed
by the Anai~eim Ciiy Flanning Commission and recommends to the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that said policy be reaffi•rmed~
