A KESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CI'TY OF ANAHEIM
<; THAT PETITION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 564 BE GRANTED
WHEREAS, the Ciry Plenning Commisaion of the City of Aaaheim did receive e verified Petition for Coaditionel
Use Permitfcom WESTERN UNITED LAND COMPANY, 15533 Crenshaw Boulevard,.Gardena, California,
and ELMER S. CHILD, 1800 West Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim, California, Owners of certain real
property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described
as all that ~ectain land commencing at the Northwest corner of the Northeast quarter of the
Northeast quarter of Section 17, in Township 4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Los
Coyotes, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 51, page 7, and following, of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of said Orange County; running thence South along the West line of said
Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter 425 feet; thence East parailel to the North
line of said Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter 102~- feet; thence North parallel
to the West line of said Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter, 425 feet; thence West
102~ feet to the point of beginning; Excepting therefrom the North 66 feet of said land,
as granted to the State of California for highway purposes by deed recorded July 5, 1955
in Book 3126, page 429 of Official Records ;and
WHEREAS, the City Plenning Commission did hold a gublic hearing at the City Hall in the City of Aneheim on
April 27~ 1964~ at 2:00 o'dock P.M., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by
lew end ia ecrncdence with the ptovieions of the Aneheim Muaicipal code, Chapter 18.64, to heer end consider evidence
for and against said proposed conditional use and to investigate and meke findings and recommendatioas in connection
therewith; end ,

after due coaeidecafion of ell evideace and reporta offered at said hearing, doea fInd aad determine the following fects:
1. Thet the proposad nae is ptoperly one for ahich a Conditional.Use Peraiit ie euthorized by this Code, to
" wit: establ3sh an additional 8 second story units above the single story portion of an existing
motel.
2. Thet the proposed usa will aot edversely affect,the adjoiaing land uses ead the g~owth aad development of
the area in which it is pcoposed to t~e located.
3. That the size and shepe of the aite proposed for the ut~e is edequete to allow the full development of the
proposed use in a menner not detrimental to the particular area nor to the peece, health, sefety, end general welfere
of the Citizens of the City of Anaheim. .
4. That the grenting of the Conditional Use Permit under the conditions impoaed, if any, will not be detrimental
to the peace, health, sefety, end genewl welfare of the Citizens of the City of Anahein~.
5. That the.•petitioner stipulated that trees 15 to 20 feet in height would be planted
along..the. west property line to shield..the singla family homes from.view of the twq-story
construction.
6> That.the petitioner stipulated that no access would be.provided between the home
to the west, being proposed for use by a resident manager, and the motel property>
7a That no one appeared in opposition to sub~ect petition.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED thet the Anaheim City Planning Commission does heceby grant subject
Petition for Conditional Use Permit, upon the following conditions which are hereby found to be a necessary pcerequisite
to the pcoposed use of the subject p:opedy in ordec to pceserve the sefety and general welfare of the Citizens of the
City of Aneheim: ,
lo That subject property shall be developed substantially in accordance wi•th pla~~s and
s~ecif~cat~ons on file with the City of Anaheim, marked Exhibit Nosa 1 through 5y provided that
tsees 15-20 feet in height sha11 be pianted on the westerly proper~:~y line to shield the single
family developmen.t from the pro.posed two-story motel deve'lopment, as stipulated by the
petitioner.
2,. That a site screen shall be located along any second story portion of subject property~
