WHFRFASy the City.Planning Commission did hold a publ3c hearing at the City Hall in
the.City of Anaheim on June.89 19649 at 2s00 o'clock PoM,, notice of said public hearing
havinq.been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of the
Anaheim Municipal CodeY to hear and consider evidence for and against said Amendment to

therewith; and.
WHEREAS, said Commission after due inspectiony investigation and study made by itself
and in its behalf and after due consideration of a11 ev3dence and reports offered at said

lo That A'lternative Noo ly as shown on Exhibit "A"y proposing the
reaiig~;~ent.of Linda Vista and Jeffersan.Streets between Oranaethorpe
and Walnut Avenues is the most acceptable and feasible alginment
for said stree.ts„
:~ -
2» That Alternative No~ 2 proposed the intersection of Linda Vista
with ,7efferson Streets in the vicinity of Maheim Road and the
Railroad right-of-way„ which would have created nearly insurmountable
proh'lems at this interse.ctiony requ~ring extremely expensive structureso
3o That Alternative No~ 3 would traverse a producing oil field with an
estimated li£e of about 30 years, and would necessitate the relocation
of one and perhaps two oil wellsy at a cost of about $80,000 each, and
fnrther th~ Caunty 031 Code pxohibits redrilling of a11 existing wells
within 15Q feet of the right-of-waye
4o That the proposed General Plan Amendment is not a precise alignment study,
nor is there an acquisition.prograro being proposedy but is necessary to
clarify the City's p~licy for a nQcessary link with the northeast industrial
area and the Yorba Linda Areao
